Currently, the amount of recorded data in a seismic survey is in the order of hundreds of Terabytes. The processing of such amount of data implies significant computational challenges. One of them is the I/O bottleneck between the main memory and the node memory. This bottleneck results from the fact that the disk memory access speed is thousands-fold slower than the processing speed of the co-processors (eg. GPUs). We propose a special Kirchhoff migration that develops the migration process over compressed data. The seismic data is compressed by using three well-known Matching Pursuit algorithms. Our approach seeks to reduce the number of memory accesses to the disk required by the Kirchhoff operator and to add more mathematical operations to the traditional Kirchhoff migration. Thus, we change slow operations (memory access) for fast operations (math operations). Experimental results show that the proposed method preserves, to a large extent, the seismic attributes of the image for a compression ratio up to 20:1.

The type of used laptop that is determined by the price will be easier if it is done with an application, because it has done an assessment, then the things needed are like the quality of a used laptop according to the price, processor, hard disk, memory, VGA, Old Usage. Decision support system for determining a leptop price is very appropriate to be applied for handling problems that require self-resolution of computers for processing data specifications that follow selection with efficient and accurate calculations. By using Tsukamoto Fuzzy Logic reasoning in the processing of input and output data, as well as supporting information how much ranking is very supportive in making decisions to determine the price of a used laptop.

In the development of the technology, the variety of notebook has become diverse. It can be differed by its rice, model, type, and functionality, such as weight, screen size, processor, hard disk, memory (RAM), and graphic card. All of that diversity has become the consideration by the one who looking for a notebook. There has a problem where the buyer is so confused in deciding which notebook that is suitable with their needs. Decision support system is considered as one of the solutions to handle that kind of problem. Fuzzy Tahani Algorithm that uses the relative and qualitative natural language as the user input criteria is believed to be able to help the notebook buyer in making the decision. The result is shown that the decision support system for purchasing multi criteria product such as notebook, based on the user input criteria with the Fuzzy Tahani algorithm, is able to help the user to get the alternative product that can be recommended to them.

Pada awalnya fungsi komputer sangat berbeda dengan fungsi komputer saat ini. Dahulu komputer digunakan sebagai alat hitung. Sesuai dengan bahasa latinnya yaitu computare yang artinya menghitung. Namun komputer mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat, di zaman sekarang komputer tidak lagi digunakan sebagai alat hitung tetapi komputer telah dapat digunakan sebagai alat elektronik untuk mengolah kata dan data. Namun fungsi komputer bukan hanya itu, komputer telah menjadi teknologi yang canggih dan bisa dikatakan sebagai alat yang serba bisa. Teknologi komputer yang kita kenal tidak terlepas dari dua komponen yaitu : hardware (perangkat keras) dan software (perangkat lunak) yang saling berkaitan dan mendukung satu sama lain. “Komputer memproses data dengan menggunakan kendali dari sekumpulan instruksi yang disebut dengan program komputer.Program computer ini memandu kerja dari komputer yang secara berstruktur yang disusun oleh orang yang disebut programmer.Berbagai peralatan terdapat di dalam suatu system komputer yang disebut dengan perangkat keras( hardware atau sering disingkat h/w), di antaranya adalah keyboard, monitor, disk, memory, dan CPU. Sedangkan program untuk menjalankan suatu computer disebut perangkat lunak (software atau disingkat s/w).dengan demikian system computer terdiri dari perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak serta manusia yang mengoperasikan maupun yang memprogramnya (brainware atau sering disingkat b/w)”(Julio, 2011).

Spectrum analyzer is an instrument device to measure the magnitude of the frequency and the power of signal. It has many benefits, such as used for testing telecommunication devices, determining the allocation of unused frequencies and also for practicum in schools or universities. However, because of these many benefits, the price of this signal measuring equipment soared in the market.As an alternative, a device that can serve as spectrum analyzer yet has an affordable price is invented in the form of the prototype of spectrum analyzer built using a single board computer by applying a fast Fourier transform algorithm. Feedback from the prototype is in the form of radio signal captured using RTL-SDR.The test results showed that the range of frequencies that can be displayed by the prototype is 24 MHz to 1.769 MHz. Then the test results of fast Fourier transform computing on N points showed that the prototype can work smoothly using the N from 512 to 32.768 points. The use of N more than 32.768 points will cause CPU and disk memory overloaded and lead to a slow performance. Finally, comparison of the levels of spectrum was performed using spectrum analyzer Anritsu MS2720T. As a result, it is known that prototype can be used to show the location of the frequency spectrum of the radio signal appropriately.

The paper deals with the study of one of the urgent problems of real time applications in which objects have spatial and temporal dependences. With the development of wireless communication and position-ing technologies the problem of storage in a database and indexing a large quantity of moving objects becomes urgent. In this paper there is offered an idea based on the method of hashing allowing the consider-able decrease of the quantity of database updates and the fulfillment of an indexing procedure possible. The paper reports the following basic approaches to the solution of the problem mentioned: a hashing; LP-layer; a division of space into blocks; coverings be-tween blocks; the use of a dynamic update of blocks, and also combinations of approaches. In order to draw conclusions of efficiency of hash-functions offered there was carried out a work on the experimental assessment of methods mentioned. The results of the comparison of methods are presented according to different criteria: productivity, a quantity of database updates, amount of disk memory pages used. The conclusions and recommendations for use are formulated.
