AbstractIn this paper, we suggest new cointegration tests that can become more powerful in the presence of non-normal errors. Non-normal errors will not pose a problem in usual cointegration tests even when they are ignored. However, we show that they can become useful sources to improve the power of the tests when we use the “residual augmented least squares” (RALS) procedure to make use of nonlinear moment conditions driven by non-normal errors. The suggested testing procedure is easy to implement and it does not require any non-linear estimation techniques. We can exploit the information on the non-normal error distribution that is already available but ignored in the usual cointegration tests. Our simulation results show significant power gains over existing cointegration tests in the presence of non-normal errors.

This paper studies the limitations of binocular vision technology in monitoring accuracy. The factors affecting the surface displacement monitoring of the slope are analyzed mainly from system structure parameters and environment parameters. Based on the error analysis theory, the functional relationship between the structure parameters and the monitoring error is studied. The error distribution curve is obtained through laboratory testing and sensitivity analysis, and parameter selection criteria are proposed. Corresponding image optimization methods are designed according to the error distribution curve of the environment parameters, and a large number of tests proved that the methods effectively improved the measurement accuracy of slope deformation monitoring. Finally, the reliability and accuracy of the proposed system and method are verified by displacement measurement of a slope on site.

Relying upon Stokes Law there was offered a way for the definition of nano-powder dispersion on measuring a speed of its sedimentation from powder slurry in water. Way is to construct differential nanopowder’s particles distribution curve of by fractions to determine their main size.

The article presents the results of evaluating the growth of Scots pine in the Baymak forest area. The analysis of forestry and taxation indicators of Scots pine crops on the studied sample areas is carried out, and a comparative assessment of the growth of forest crops growing in different types of forest is given. Increased competition in plantings leads to the natural decline of stunted trees, which is the result of differentiation in the stand. As a result, its structure changes, the number of large trees increases, and, accordingly, the stability of the forest ecosystem increases. In this regard, the appearance of the tree distribution curve by thickness levels also changes. It becomes more "flat", and its competitive load is more evenly distributed over the entire structure of the stand, and competition is weakened.
