The problem of reducing the thermal stress of the grinding process of bearing rings has been viewed. The possibility of reducing the temperature of the treated surface based on the use of precast textured grinding wheels has been presented. Experimental models of pulse, contact, average temperature, velocities and rates of their change in the function of grinding time are found.

The study of the gas nitriding method, which allows obtaining high-quality diffuse layers in high-speed steel P6M5 on the basis of an internal nitrogen hardening zone with no brittle nitride zone, has been viewed. Research results of phase composition of nitrided steel with a change in the nitrogen potential of the atmosphere during dilution of ammonia are presented. Nitrided tool increased resistance during drilling constructional steel and titanium alloy, which is due to precipitation hardening treatment of the internal nitrogenization zone using tungsten nitrides, is given.

A rationale of the principles of evaluating the effectiveness of gas-vortex stabilization of plasma torches has been provided. Taking into account the new possibilities of numerical modeling methods, new criteria have been introduced, their application allows both the developing of new gas-vortex stabilization methods and their using for evaluating the results of plasma equipment designing.

A new method of gas nitriding is presented, which produces obtaining high-quality diffusion layers that meet the requirements of the use for various purposes, including aviation ones. Peculiar properties of highly alloyed martensitic steel nitriding after stadial thermo-gas-cyclic nitrogenization under partially dissociated ammonia with air additives have been examined. The results of metallographic studies, diagnostic leach, tests for wear resistance, impact hardness and corrosion stability, depending on the test mode are presented.

The generalized results of breaking-down modeling process of large-format pipe stocks made of titanium alloy VT6 are presented. Based on the simulation results of this operation, a static study has been undertaken, according to its results regression dependencies have been obtained, which contribute to assess the impact of a various parameter complex of this technology on the efficacy of the process.

Based on the data obtained during the simulation of breaking-down and thinning-out simultaneously of the pipe stock element, the stress state of pipe jackets in the deformation zone has been evaluated. The influence of the contact friction magnitude, the tool conicity and the degrees of deformation on the maximum stress values and their heterogeneity have been determined.
