A system for medical information has been developed. The system is a general and flexible one which without reprogramming or new programs can accept any alphabetic and/or numeric information. Coded concepts and natural language can be read, stored, decoded and written out. Medical records or parts of records (diagnosis, operations, therapy, laboratory tests, symptoms etc.) can be retrieved and selected. The system can process simple statistics but even make linear pattern recognition analysis.The system described has been used for in-patients, outpatients and individuals in health examinations.The use of computers in hospitals, health examinations or health care systems is a problem of storing information in a general and flexible form. This problem has been solved, and now it is possible to add new routines like booking and follow-up-systems.

There are different communication standards in present mobile communication industry. Each of this standards has its own feature, architecture, and channel assignment strategies. Each mobile operator uses one of any standard and their aim is to support as much user as possible to communicate with tolerable interference. For that reason they use different cluster size and frequency planning to cover entire geographical area. To reuse the given bandwidth within the entire geographical area some cells uses same sets of frequency and interference arise when the distance between these cells is small. Also when distance is large then capacity is going low. In this thesis our work is to investigation the co channel interference among different cluster size assuming a limited sub urban geographical area in a cellular GSM network. Also we calculate the number of users using each of this cluster size and finally design a cellular system in this geographical area using best results (minimum interference and maximum capacity).

Aim: To facilitate researchers and practitioners for unveiling the mysterious functional aspects of human cellular system through performing exploratory searching on semantically integrated heterogeneous and geographically dispersed omics annotations. Background: Improving health standards of life is one of the motives which continuously instigates researchers and practitioners to strive for uncovering the mysterious aspects of human cellular system. Inferring new knowledge from known facts always requires reasonably large amount of data in well-structured, integrated and unified form. Due to the advent of especially high throughput and sensor technologies, biological data is growing heterogeneously and geographically at astronomical rate. Several data integration systems have been deployed to cope with the issues of data heterogeneity and global dispersion. Systems based on semantic data integration models are more flexible and expandable than syntax-based ones but still lack aspect-based data integration, persistence and querying. Furthermore, these systems do not fully support to warehouse biological entities in the form of semantic associations as naturally possessed by the human cell. Objective: To develop aspect-oriented formal data integration model for semantically integrating heterogeneous and geographically dispersed omics annotations for providing exploratory querying on integrated data. Method: We propose an aspect-oriented formal data integration model which uses web semantics standards to formally specify its each construct. Proposed model supports aspect-oriented representation of biological entities while addressing the issues of data heterogeneity and global dispersion. It associates and warehouses biological entities in the way they relate with Result: To show the significance of proposed model, we developed a data warehouse and information retrieval system based on proposed model compliant multi-layered and multi-modular software architecture. Results show that our model supports well for gathering, associating, integrating, persisting and querying each entity with respect to its all possible aspects within or across the various associated omics layers. Conclusion: Formal specifications better facilitate for addressing data integration issues by providing formal means for understanding omics data based on meaning instead of syntax

AbstractThis paper explores the role of savings groups in resilience to urban climate-related disasters. Savings groups are a rapidly growing phenomenon in Africa. They are decentralized, non-institutional groups that provide millions of people excluded from the formal banking sector with a trusted, accessible, and relatively simple source of microfinance. Yet there is little work on the impacts of savings groups on resilience to disasters. In this paper, we use a combination of quantitative and qualitative evidence from Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) to shed new light on the role that savings groups play in helping households cope with climate-related shocks. Drawing on new data, we show that approximately one-quarter of households have at least one member in a group, and that these households recover from flood events faster than those who do not. We further argue that the structure of savings groups allows for considerable group oversight, reducing the high costs of monitoring and sanctioning that often undermine cooperative engagement in urban areas. This makes the savings group model a uniquely flexible form of financing that is well adapted to helping households cope with shocks such as repeated flooding. In addition to this, we posit that they may provide a foundation for community initiatives focusing on preventative action.
