Purpose The paper aims to incorporate the relationship of reverse logistics into the economic, environmental, and social sustainability, known as triple bottom line and developed a framework for reverse logistics performance evaluation. Design/methodology/approach The performance measures, based on triple bottom line approach, were selected, and fuzzy analytical hierarchy process and extent analysis approach was applied for estimating the weights, global weights of performance measures and hence, the reverse logistics performance index. Reverse logistics performance of three electronic companies were evaluated and compared for the demonstration of the methodology. Findings The results show that economic performance has highest performance index followed by environmental performance and social performance. “Recapturing value” and “return on investment” from economic, “minimum energy consumption” and “optimum use of raw material” from environmental and “community complaints” and “customer health and safety” from social perspective have higher performance indexes. Over all, “reduced packaging”, “use of recycled material” and “employee benefits” show very poor performance indexes. Research Limitations/implications The study will provide useful guidance to the academicians and practitioners for evaluating, improving and benchmarking the reverse logistics performance. Originality/value The analysis adds to the very few studies on triple bottom line aspects of reverse logistics and its performance evaluation. Also, fuzzy analytical hierarchy process and extent analysis is used first time being an efficient tool to tackle the fuzziness of the data involved in performance evaluation.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of performance evaluation of vendors especially in the vendor that provides a raw material for pressure vessel plate made of carbon steel. As for the evaluation process undertaken by PT. XYZ through performance indicators (KPI) where an evaluation that applied a focus on quality and delivery. In this study, researchers used the designation criteria vendor performance indicator (VPI) where the criteria used consist of quality, cost, delivery, flexibility and responsiveness (QCDFR). The methods used in the analysis process that is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Data collecting directionally by questionnaire method among 3 respondents on the procurement department that know the performance of the vendors over the years. The result showed that PT. RE has the best performance among the four vendors, as known PT.SS, PT. ST, PT. CH and PT. UN within value 0.540; The vendor with lowest performance owned by PT.CH within value 0.034.Keyword : Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), vendor performance indicator (vpi), plate pressure vessel, vendor performance evaluation Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses evaluasi kinerja vendor khususnya pada vendor yang mensupplai bahan baku plate pressure vessel berbahan carbon steel. CH dengan nilai bobot sebesar 0.034.Kata kunci : Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), vendor performance indicator (VPI), plate pressure vessel, evaluasi kinerja vendor.

In the present study, the susceptibility to flash-floods and flooding was studied across the Izvorul Dorului River basin in Romania. In the first phase, three ensemble models were used to determine the susceptibility to flash-floods. These models were generated by a combination of three statistical bivariate methods, namely frequency ratio (FR), weights of evidence (WOE), and statistical index (SI), with fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP). The result obtained from the application of the FAHP-WOE model had the best performance highlighted by an Area Under Curve—Receiver Operating Characteristics Curve (AUC-ROC) value of 0.837 for the training sample and another of 0.79 for the validation sample. Furthermore, the results offered by FAHP-WOE were weighted on the river network level using the flow accumulation method, through which the valleys with a medium, high, and very high torrential susceptibility were identified. Based on these valleys’ locations, the susceptibility to floods was estimated. Thus, in the first stage, a buffer zone of 200 m was delimited around the identified valleys along which the floods could occur. Once the buffer zone was established, ten flood conditioning factors were used to determine the flood susceptibility through the analytical hierarchy process model. Approximately 25% of the total delimited area had a high and very high flood susceptibility.
