The rate of detection of breast cancer by MRI, while other methods of radiological diagnosis are not sufficiently informative, ranges from 5.2 to 26.3 per cent. Suspicious breast tumors of category BI-RADS 4, 5 show morphological image-guided biopsy verification, in particular MRI with contrast. Purpose. To show the possibilities and features of carrying out MRI-guided vacuum breast biopsy, including after aesthetic breast augmentation. Material and methods. A comprehensive X-ray, ultrasound and MRI examination of 54 women aged between 28 and 70 years with different breast tumors was conducted. Of these, five were detected only by breast MRI with contrast, and were morphologically verified by MRI-guided vacuum aspiration biopsy. Results. 14 of the 54 patients with breast mass were diagnosed with breast cancer and 26 were diagnosed with benign diseases. The effectiveness of comprehensive examination and low-invasive high-tech MRI-guided procedures in early refined screening for breast cancer, including after aesthetic breast augmentation, has been demonstrated. MRI-guided vacuum-assisted breast biopsy is a fast, safe and accurate diagnostic method of morphological verification of suspicious breast tumors that do not have X-ray and ultrasound.

Summary One cannot write about the relationship of young people and current sports stars in modern society without having previously studied the processes of mediation and globalisation of sport, and the transformation of traditional social values. The goal of the science and practice engaged in sports and education of young people is a constant quest for preserving universal ethical values and reconciling them with the modern-day social processes. This paper will present the result of a survey conducted with adolescents in five different Serbian cities in order to find the answer to the question if sportspersons were their favourite television role-models. According to the results of our survey, 45% of adolescents do not have a favourite TV personality and do not know for sure who that could be. Novak Đoković, who would be the choice of adults for a role model of the young, with 63.2% according to the survey conducted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, scored 3.81% in our survey with adolescents who would chose Novak Đoković as their favourite TV personality. The necessity of raising media literacy of young people with the aim of clear identification of sports role models who are going to improve their quality of life still remains an open issue for further research on this course.

Understanding the mechanism of spontaneous formation of ribonucleotides under realistic prebiotic conditions is a key open issue of origins-of-life research. In cells, de novo and salvage nucleotide enzymatic synthesis combines 5-phospho-α -D-ribose-1-diphosphate ( α-PRPP) and nucleobases. Interestingly, these reactants are also known as prebiotically plausible compounds. Combining ab initio simulations with mass spectrometry experiments, we compellingly demonstrate that nucleobases and α -PRPP spontaneously combine, through the same facile mechanism, forming both purine and pyrimidine ribonucleotides, under mild hydrothermal conditions. Surprisingly, this mechanism is very similar to the biological one, and yields ribonucleotides with the same anomeric carbon chirality as in biological systems. These results suggest that natural selection might have optimized – through enzymes – a pre-existing ribonucleotide formation mechanism, carrying it forward to modern life forms.
