Abstract Equipping a non-equivariant topological $$\text {E}_\infty $$ E ∞ -operad with the trivial G-action gives an operad in G-spaces. For a G-spectrum, being an algebra over this operad does not provide any multiplicative norm maps on homotopy groups. Algebras over this operad are called naïve-commutative ring G-spectra. In this paper we take $$G=SO(2)$$ G = S O ( 2 ) and we show that commutative algebras in the algebraic model for rational SO(2)-spectra model rational naïve-commutative ring SO(2)-spectra. In particular, this applies to show that the SO(2)-equivariant cohomology associated to an elliptic curve C of Greenlees (Topology 44(6):1213–1279, 2005) is represented by an $$\text {E}_\infty $$ E ∞ -ring spectrum. Moreover, the category of modules over that $$\text {E}_\infty $$ E ∞ -ring spectrum is equivalent to the derived category of sheaves over the elliptic curve C with the Zariski torsion point topology.

The binary tensor product, for modules over a commutative ring, has two different aspects: its connection with universal bilinear maps and its adjointness to the internal hom-functor. Furthermore, in the special situation of finite-dimensional vector spaces, the tensor product can also be described in terms of dual spaces and the internal hom-functor. The aim of this paper is to investigate these relationships in the setting of arbitrary concrete categories.

Let R be a commutative ring with multiplicative identity and P is a finitely generated projective R-module. If P∗ is the set of R-module homomorphism from P to R, then the tensor product P∗⊗RP can be considered as an R-coalgebra. Furthermore, P and P∗ is a comodule over coalgebra P∗⊗RP. Using the Morita context, this paper give sufficient conditions of clean coalgebra P∗⊗RP and clean P∗⊗RP-comodule P and P∗. These sufficient conditions are determined by the conditions of module P and ring R.

AbstractAlgebras A and coalgebras C over a commutative ring R are defined by properties of the (endo)functors A ⊗R – and C ⊗R – on the category of R-modules R. Generalising these notions, monads and comonads were introduced on arbitrary categories, and it turned out that some of their basic relations do not depend on the specific properties of the tensor product. In particular, the adjoint of any comonad is a monad (and vice versa), and hence, for any coalgebra C, HomR(C, –), the right adjoint of C ⊗R –, is a monad on R. The modules for the monad HomR(C, –) were called contramodules by Eilenberg–Moore and the purpose of this talk is to outline the related constructions and explain the relationship between C-comodules and C-contramodules. The results presented grew out from cooperation with G. Böhm, T. Brzeziński and B. Mesablishvili.

Abstract The intersection of all maximal right ideals of a near-ring N is called the quasi-radical of N. In this paper, first we show that the quasi-radical of the zero-symmetric near-ring of polynomials R0[x] equals to the set of all nilpotent elements of R0[x], when R is a commutative ring with Nil (R)2 = 0. Then we show that the quasi-radical of R0[x] is a subset of the intersection of all maximal left ideals of R0[x]. Also, we give an example to show that for some commutative ring R the quasi-radical of R0[x] coincides with the intersection of all maximal left ideals of R0[x]. Moreover, we prove that the quasi-radical of R0[x] is the greatest quasi-regular (right) ideal of it.

In this paper, we present a new classes of ideals: called n-ideal. Let R be a commutative ring with nonzero identity. We define a proper ideal I of R as an n-ideal if whenever ab ? I with a ? ?0, then b ? I for every a,b ? R. We investigate some properties of n-ideals analogous with prime ideals. Also, we give many examples with regard to n-ideals.

Abstract A formula is given to calculate the last n number of symplectic characteristic classes of the tensor product of the vector Spin(3)- and Sp(n)-bundles through its first 2n number of characteristic classes and through characteristic classes of Sp(n)-bundle. An application of this formula is given in symplectic cobordisms and in rings of symplectic cobordisms of generalized quaternion groups.
