The paper deals with the matrix equation A X B + C X   D = E over the generalized quaternions. By the tools of the real representation of a generalized quaternion matrix, Kronecker product as well as vec-operator, the paper derives the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a Hermitian solution and gives the explicit general expression of the solution when it is solvable and provides a numerical example to test our results. The paper proposes a unificated algebraic technique for finding Hermitian solutions to the mentioned matrix equation over the generalized quaternions, which includes many important quaternion algebras, such as the Hamilton quaternions and the split quaternions.

The step derivative of a complex function can be defined with various methods. The step direction defines a basis that is distinct from that of a complex number; the derivative can then be treated by using Taylor series expansion in this direction. In this study, we define step derivatives based on complex numbers and quaternions that are orthogonal to the complex basis while simultaneously being distinct from it. Considering previous studies, the step derivative defined using quaternions was insufficient for applying the properties of quaternions by setting a quaternion basis distinct from the complex basis or setting the step direction to which only a part of the quaternion basis was applied. Therefore, in this study, we examine the definition of quaternions and define the step derivative in the direction of a generalized quaternion basis including a complex basis. We find that the step derivative based on the definition of a quaternion has a relative error in some domains; however, it can be used as a substitute derivative in specific domains.

The aim of this paper is the characterization of algebraic properties of Leavitt path algebra of the directed power graph [Formula: see text] and also of the directed punctured power graph [Formula: see text] of a finite group [Formula: see text]. We show that Leavitt path algebra of the power graph [Formula: see text] of finite group [Formula: see text] over a field [Formula: see text] is simple if and only if [Formula: see text] is a direct sum of finitely many cyclic groups of order 2. Finally, we prove that the Leavitt path algebra [Formula: see text] is a prime ring if and only if [Formula: see text] is either cyclic [Formula: see text]-group or generalized quaternion [Formula: see text]-group.

Let [Formula: see text] be a group. The enhanced power graph of [Formula: see text] is a graph with vertex set [Formula: see text] and two distinct vertices [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are adjacent if there exists [Formula: see text] such that [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] for some [Formula: see text]. Also, a vertex of a graph is called dominating vertex if it is adjacent to every other vertex of the vertex set. Moreover, an enhanced power graph is said to be a dominatable graph if it has a dominating vertex other than the identity element. In an article of 2018, Bera and his coauthor characterized all abelian finite groups and nonabelian finite [Formula: see text]-groups such that their enhanced power graphs are dominatable (see [2]). In addition as an open problem, they suggested characterizing all finite nonabelian groups such that their enhanced power graphs are dominatable. In this paper, we try to answer their question. We prove that the enhanced power graph of finite group [Formula: see text] is dominatable if and only if there is a prime number [Formula: see text] such that [Formula: see text] and the Sylow [Formula: see text]-subgroups of [Formula: see text] are isomorphic to either a cyclic group or a generalized quaternion group.

AbstractThe Coprime graph is a graph from a finite group that is defined based on the order of each element of the group. In this research, we determine the coprime graph of generalized quaternion group Q_(4n) and its properties. The method used is to study literature and analyze by finding patterns based on some examples. The first result of this research is the form of the coprime graph of a generalized quaternion group Q_(4n) when n = 2^k, n an odd prime number, n an odd composite number, and n an even composite number. The next result is that the total of a cycle contained in the coprime graph of a generalized quaternion group Q_(4n) and cycle multiplicity when  is an odd prime number is p-1.Keywords: Coprime graph, generalized quaternion group, order, path AbstrakGraf koprima merupakan graf dari dari suatu grup hingga yang didefiniskan berdasarkan orde dari masing-masing elemen grup tersebut.

The aim of this paper is to bring together quaternions and generalized complex numbers. Generalized quaternions with generalized complex number components are expressed and their algebraic structures are examined. Several matrix representations and computational results are introduced. As a crucial part, alternative approach for generalized quaternion matrix with elliptic number entries are developed.

AbstractNodal lines are degeneracies formed by crossing bands in three-dimensional momentum space. Interestingly, these degenerate lines can chain together via touching points and manifest as nodal chains. These nodal chains are usually embedded in two orthogonal planes and protected by the corresponding mirror symmetries. Here, we propose and demonstrate an in-plane nodal chain in photonics, where all chained nodal lines coexist in a single mirror plane instead of two orthogonal ones. The chain point is stabilized by the intrinsic symmetry that is specific to electromagnetic waves at the Г point of zero frequency. By adding another mirror plane, we find a nodal ring that is constructed by two higher bands and links with the in-plane nodal chain. The nodal link in momentum space exhibits non-Abelian characteristics on a C2T - invariant plane, where admissible transitions of the nodal link structure are determined by generalized quaternion charges. Through near-field scanning measurements of bi-anisotropic metamaterials, we experimentally mapped out the in-plane nodal chain and nodal link in such systems.
