AbstractIn this paper, using Calderón’s reproducing formula and almost orthogonality estimates, we prove the lifting property and the embedding theorem of the Triebel–Lizorkin and Besov spaces associated with Zygmund dilations.

Abstract This paper is devoted to investigating the boundedness, continuity and compactness for variation operators of singular integrals and their commutators on Morrey spaces and Besov spaces. More precisely, we establish the boundedness for the variation operators of singular integrals with rough kernels Ω ∈ Lq (S n−1) (q > 1) and their commutators on Morrey spaces as well as the compactness for the above commutators on Lebesgue spaces and Morrey spaces. In addition, we present a criterion on the boundedness and continuity for a class of variation operators of singular integrals and their commutators on Besov spaces. As applications, we obtain the boundedness and continuity for the variation operators of Hilbert transform, Hermit Riesz transform, Riesz transforms and rough singular integrals as well as their commutators on Besov spaces.

AbstractWe establish an embedding theorem for the weighted Bergman spaces induced by a positive Borel measure $$d\omega (y)dx$$ d ω ( y ) d x with the doubling property $$\omega (0,2t)\le C\omega (0,t)$$ ω ( 0 , 2 t ) ≤ C ω ( 0 , t ) . The characterization is given in terms of Carleson squares on the upper half-plane. As special cases, our result covers the standard weights and logarithmic weights. As an application, we also establish the boundedness of the area operator.

Abstract First we compute the trace space of Besov spaces – characterized via atomic decompositions – on fractals Γ, for parameters 0 < p < ∞, 0 < q ≤ min(1, p) and s = (n – d)/p. New Besov spaces on fractals are defined via traces for 0 < p, q ≤ ∞, s ≥ (n – d)/p and some embedding assertions are established. We conclude by studying the compactness of the trace operator TrΓ by giving sharp estimates for entropy and approximation numbers of compact embeddings between Besov spaces. Our results on Besov spaces remain valid considering the classical spaces defined via differences. The trace results are used to study traces in Triebel–Lizorkin spaces as well.

Abstract This paper deals with wavelet frames in anisotropic Besov spaces , 𝑠 ∈ ℝ, 0 < 𝑝, 𝑞 ≤ ∞, and 𝑎 = (𝑎1, . . . , 𝑎𝑛) is an anisotropy, with 𝑎𝑖 > 0, 𝑖 = 1, . . . , 𝑛, 𝑎1 + . . . + 𝑎𝑛 = 𝑛. We present sub-atomic and wavelet decompositions for a large class of distributions. To some extent our results can be regarded as anisotropic counterparts of those recently obtained in [Triebel, Studia Math. 154: 59–88, 2003].

SynopsisIn this paper we determine the asymptotic behaviour of entropy numbers of embedding maps between Besov sequence spaces and Besov function spaces. The results extend those of M. Š. Birman, M. Z. Solomjak and H. Triebel originally formulated in the language of ε-entropy. It turns out that the characterization of embedding maps between Besov spaces by entropy numbers can be reduced to the characterization of certain diagonal operators by their entropy numbers. Finally, the entropy numbers are applied to the study of eigenvalues of operators acting on a Banach space which admit a factorization through embedding maps between Besov spaces. The statements of this paper are obtained by results recently proved elsewhere by the author.
