The on demand services and scalability features of cloud computing have attracted many customers to move their applications into the cloud. Therefore, application, data access, storage, and migration to and from cloud have garnered much recent attention, especially with well-established legacy applications. Cloud service providers are following different standards to host applications and data. In the present chapter, the authors focus on data migration from various datastores to cloud and vice versa. They have discussed various challenges associated with this reciprocal migration and proposed a simple yet powerful model whereby data can be migrated between various datastores, especially cloud datastores. The results show an efficient way to move data from conventional relational databases to Google App Engines and how data residing in the Google App Engines can be stored on relational databases and vice versa. They provide a generalized architecture to store data in any cloud datastore. The authors use RDF/RDFS as an intermediate model in the migration process.

In information systems, not only do data change over time, but also database schemata evolve frequently as a response to evolving application requirements. In the literature, schema evolution and schema versioning are the two techniques that were proposed to support schema changes in a DBMS, without loss of extant data and with continued support of legacy applications. After applying schema changes, schema evolution keeps only the current schema version and retains the data which are adapted to such a schema. On the other hand, each time schema changes are applied, schema versioning creates a new schema version, while preserving old schema versions and their corresponding data. With schema versioning, data access through any schema version is supported, which avoids applications developed with past schemata to become obsolete. The main goal of this chapter is to present the recent research proposals that deal with schema versioning and to discuss the recent advances on schema versioning support in mainstream DBMSs.

Software reuse can improve software quality with the reducing cost and development time. Systematic reuse plan enhances cohesion and reduces coupling for better testability and maintainability. Software reuse approach can be adopted at the highest extent if relevant software components can be easily searched, adapted and integrated into new system. Large software industries hold their own well managed component libraries containing well tested software component with the project category based classification .Access to these repositories are very limited. Software reuse is facing so many problems and still not so popular. This is due to issues of general access, efficient search and adoption of software component. This paper propose a framework which resolves all of the above issues with providing easy access to components, efficient incremental semantics based search, repository management, versioning of components.

Cloud computing is a revolutionary computing paradigm, which enables flexible, on-demand, and low-cost usage of computing resources, but the data is outsourced to some cloud servers, and various privacy concerns emerge from it. Various schemes based on the attribute-based encryption have been to secure the cloud storage. Data content privacy. A semi anonymous privilege control scheme AnonyControl to address not only the data privacy. But also the user identity privacy. AnonyControl decentralizes the central authority to limit the identity leakage and thus achieves semi anonymity. The  Anonymity –F which fully prevent the identity leakage and achieve the full anonymity.
