In our opinion, * `logical basis` and *` syntactic basis` are incorrect from a cognitive point of view. The subjunctive is a syntactic category and the qualification `logical` is an oxymoron, or at least a dissonance. In logic, the category is the subject. And since the subjunctive is the syntactic category, even more disturbing is the tautological * `syntactic subjunctive`. The article substantiates the cognitive reading of the substratum. What is new is the derivation of linguistic ontology as a category of the cognitive method in syntax, of cognitive syntax.

Pressure-flow relationships were studied at the root of the aorta and the pulmonary artery in 18 dogs. The hydraulic input impedance to the vascular bed was calculated as a complex ratio of the corresponding pressure and flow harmonics. Results indicate: a) The predominant features of the load against which the heart is pumping consists of an impedance with a magnitude that initially decreases rapidly with frequency and then increases gradually with frequency. In general, pressure tends to lag behind flow for all harmonics. b) The input impedance versus frequency patterns provided a logical basis for choosing various simple electrical networks which can be used to characterize in a compact manner the general features of the hydraulic load presented to the ventricles. c) The hazards of using such simple networks to define the physical properties of the vascular system are pointed out. This paper aims to present Hayek?s view of cultural evolution as an important contribution to contemporary evolutionary epistemology. However, despite the importance of Hayek?s theory of cultural evolution, the tension between his concept of rational liberalism and evolutionary epistemology will be pointe out. This tension limits Hayek?s understanding of cultural evolution. Hayek?s conception of rational liberalism emphasizes the values of individual freedom and benefits of the market system. The term evolutionary epistemology includes the economic phenomena that occur without the participation of consciousness, on the one hand, and activities with the element of purposefulness and intelligibility, on the other.
