Specifics of the watercourses research in Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains is in developing and using the most appropriate research methods. This will objectively and comprehensively assess the quality situation of water objects. Were reviewed and analyzed different methodological aspects of water quality researching. The use of bioindication methods that are an integral and necessary part of researching the current situations and changes in water (river) ecosystems of mountain regions is substantiated. The methods were used in long-term and comprehensive research of river Prut and the article represents a summary of the results. Argumentation of using this bioindication method in an integrated research of mountain rivers of the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains is given. Key words: bioindication, monitoring, water quality, ecosystems, research methods, indices of quality.

Subject of the article: vertical transmission of culture. The article discusses the way Lermontov’s plot is implemented in modern literature and mass culture. Many writers openly refer to the famous novel “A Hero of Our Time”, which makes their works easily recognizable. However, in contemporary poetry there are examples of latent organic mastery of Lermontov’s plot. The research object is a poem “Taman” by Valery Dudarev, in which the transmission of culture is observed, manifested through the archetypal situation of crossing, sailing in Pechorin’s boat on a moonlit night. Both in Lermontov’s story and in Dudarev’s poem this plot requires an additional cultural background commentary. The study is based on a holistic analysis of a literary text using the structural-typological, comparative, system-integrated research methods.

ABSTRACTThis article has as a research problem the following question: how can Artificial Intelligence (AI) contribute to meeting the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development? The first section is responsible for demonstrating the possible uses of AI for the effective achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At this moment, the positive and negative aspects in the use of AI are highlighted. In the second section, a study is carried out on the normative acts of some countries on the possible negative and regulatory implications of AI for society. For this, the deductive and integrated research methods are used. In the end, it is shown that AI presents itself as an important factor in the equation posed by Agenda 2030, as long as it is properly observed and regulated. Keywords: Agenda 2030; Artificial intelligence; Sustainable development.

This article examines the narrative category point of view: it introduces theoretical remarks that reveal and clarify this concept in the framework of the modern theory of narrative, as well as an analysis of this category in Lena Eltang’s novel “Stone Maples”. In narratology, the point of view is one of the leading categories; it is synonymous with the concepts of “focalization”, “perspective” and “narrative modality” and is directly related to the narrator of the work. This article discusses various approaches to the interpretation of the concept of point of view, discusses the similarities and differences, different theoretical approaches to the terms “perspective”, “focalization”, “narrative modality.” An analysis of the theoretical works devoted to this problem also makes it possible to conclude that one of the leading roles in the construction of a narrative is given to the narrator. In L. Eltang’s novel “Stone Maples”, many different points of view (respectively, several narrators) are encountered: several subjects of speech and several different narrative lines are presented in the text. The main narrative and style principles, as well as the features of the narrative organization of the novel “Stone Maples” were examined. Integrated research methods allowed us to determine that in L. Eltang’s novel “Stone Maples” there are many different points of view: several subjects of speech and several different narrative lines are presented in the text; the communicative basis of the narrative work, the “mosaic” narrative, multilevel author puzzles and the detective story base of the novel activate the role of the reader of “Stone Maples”, who is given the function of one of the narrators of the work. The article emphasizes that a biased, false narrative is formed in the novel, destroying the principles of classical narration.
