This paper presents comparison of feedback control algorisms of magnetic flux conditions in two-dimensional vector magnetic property measurements under high magnetic field over 1.6 T. In order to develop a fast measurement algorism, several PID feedback control methods were tested. The results show that the proportion-derivative precedence type (I-PD) control is suitable for reduction of measurement times in vector magnetic property measurements.

Abstract Concave-cube FePt nanoparticles (NPs) with anisotropy of shape and element were annealed under high magnetic field (HMF). The high temperature sphered the FePt NPs, and Pt content and grain size of the NPs were decreased during annealing process. The HMF strength didn’t affect the shape, size and composition of the FePt NPs, but induced the formation of L 1 0 -phase in the annealed NPs. The content and ordering degree of L 1 0 -phase increased with enhancing the HMF strength, which leaded to the increasing of coercivity in the annealed FePt NPs. This work suggests that application of the HMF annealing is an effective strategy to tune the microstructure and property of anisotropic FePt NPs.

Cr-doped ZnO-diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) nanocrystals with various Cr contents were synthesized by hydrothermal method under high magnetic field. The result indicated that both the amount of Cr contents and high magnetic field significantly influenced crystal structure, morphology, and magnetic property of Cr-doped ZnO DMSs. When the Cr contents increased from 1 at% to 5 at%, the morphology of grains sequentially changed from flower-like to rod-like and then to the flake-like form. All the samples remained hexagonal wurtzite structure after Cr ions were doped into the ZnO crystal lattice. The Cr doping led to the increasing amount of defects and even enhanced the magnetic property of the matrix materials. All the Cr-doped ZnO DMSs obtained under high magnetic field exhibited obvious ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature. The results have also shown the successful substitution of the Cr3+ions for the Zn2+ions in the crystal lattice.
