This study investigates the decision-making issues in the selection of destinations for large-scale exhibitions by the cultural and creative industry. We use the Rubber Duck China Tour by the Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman as an example and adopt the analytic network process technique to evaluate destination options for the exhibition, as well as to explore the impacts of the evaluation of destination feasibilities on exhibition investment. The results show that power, a high benefit-cost ratio, first-tier cities, integration with local communities, and a rich and interesting theme are the top five factors that curators should consider when planning exhibitions. Considering the priority among cities of various tiers, first-tier cities are the most favorable, followed by fourth-tier, third-tier, and second-tier cities. The decision-making model provides curators with a reliable reference for selecting destinations for future exhibitions.

Different from the other distribution center location methods, there are new characteristics in distribution center location during earthquake disaster responses. In this paper, we investigate the factors impacting the location of distribution center during earthquake responses, and propose a decision-making model based on improved AHP framework for this issue. The improved AHP is extended to automatically calculate large scale judgment matrices by the crosstie model. This decision-making model was successfully applied in the simulation case of Yushu earthquake responses in 2010. The results show that the proposed decision-making model is reasonable.

The decision on the investment project is to analyze the feasibility and rationality of the project plan from multiple angles. However, due to the limitations of the actual project investment decision-making, this paper proposes a group decision making method based multifunctional intuitively fuzzy VIKOR interval sets. Firstly, according to the established investment decision-making model, the first round of preliminary candidate project schemes is selected. According to the definition of interval intuitionistic fuzzy sets and the traditional VIKOR method, established the research method of this article, and the project investment decision-making model based on VIKOR interval intuitionistic fuzzy sets is established. Finally, the project schemes are sorted according to the closeness degree of schemes. The results show that when sorting each candidate by Qi value, A4 >  A3 >  A2 >  A1 can be obtained. Because Q4 = 0, Q3 = 0.31, the condition q3-q4 >  0.25 is satisfied. It is concluded that the method can not only meet the needs of actual decision-making, but also has strong operability and practicability. The research results have reference value and guiding significance for project investment decision-making, and can promote the sustainable development of the project.

Abstract With the recent emphasis on supply risk management in sustainable supply chains (SSCs), the evaluation and selection of appropriate suppliers are more important than ever. However, most existing research does not take all three sustainability perspectives of supply risk into account simultaneously and they rarely consider the correlation among supply risk factors in risk assessment. Therefore, considering the uncertain information decision-making environment, this research paper proposes a risk-based integrated group decision-making model for sustainable supplier selection (SSS). First, the weights of decision-makers (DMs) are taken as linguistic terms denoted by intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). Second, after obtaining the aggregated intuitionistic fuzzy decision-making matrix considering the expert weights, this study uses the entropy weight method to calculate the criteria weights objectively. Then, the improved failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is adopted for the risk assessment to exclude high-risk suppliers. Finally, the extended alternative queuing method (AQM) is applied to rank the qualified suppliers in SSCs. This model can not only enable enterprises to reduce supply risk in SSS practices and identify and prevent the failure modes that lead to supply risk, but also reduce the uncertainty of decision-making, in order to make supplier selection more accurate. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model are illustrated through application in a leading Chinese electrical appliance manufacturing company.

An outranking procedure for Multi-Attribute Decision-Making (MADM) problems is introduced in our work that acts as a decision-aid in recommending the products to the buyers. The buyer’s product assessment is taken as Interval-Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IVIFS) in each attribute. The confidence level that is implicit in the buyer’s product rating is explicated in the proposed work using fuzzy entropy. As the confidence level of the buyer on the product assessment is for both satisfaction and reluctance, it is suitably distributed in membership and non-membership parts of IVIFS. Our work generates a dominance matrix that represents partial or full dominance of one product over another after scoring the products that are unified with buyer’s confidence. The proposed work suggests the product ranking after ascertaining the buyer’s flexibility. An algorithm is written in our work to validate the procedure developed. We have compared our work with other similar works to highlight the benefits of the proposed work. A numerical example is illustrated to highlight the procedure developed.
