We present a clinical case of macular burn as a result of the effect of laser pointer observed in our 14-year-old patient. The laser pointer wasaclass IIIBlaser according to the classification of laser power (based on the wavelength and output power of the laser). The patient focused the laser beam on his eyes for a few seconds and then noticed a black spot on both eyes. Examinations revealed decreased visual acuity in both eyes, and spectral-domain optical coherent tomography (SD-OCT) and fluorescent angiography (FAQ) revealed defects in the outer lamellar layers of the retina. Topical corticosteroids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drops were used for treatment. Re-examination after 3 months showed some clinical improvement, but there were persistent effects

Experiment on Interference Pattern of Laser Light Scattered Analysis using a "Dusty" Plane Mirror aims to determine the glass refractive index value. The dust samples used in this experiment are baby powder, chalk, rice flour, wood powder and beauty powder. The dust samples sprinkled over a clean mirror, so it will produce an interference pattern that can be seen on the screen. The results of the interference pattern are circular because the screen is perforated with a diameter of 0.01 m. Dust particle sample variation only affects the brightness level of interference patterns. Analysis of interference patterns using red laser pointers or green laser pointers will get the brightest interference patterns when using baby powder compared to other dust samples. Based on the resulting interference pattern, the refractive index value of the glass using a red laser pointer is 1.62 ± 0.04 and the weighted average value of the glass refractive index is 1.68 ± 0.02, whereas the refractive index value of glass using a green laser pointer is 1.74 ± 0.07 and the weighted average value of the refractive index of the glass is 1.79 ± 0.02

Oral intake of steroids has been associated with central serous chorio-retinopathy (CSCR) for long time. We report a 23 years old male who had exposure to green laser pointer after which he developed laser maculopathy. The treating ophthalmologist started oral steroids with patient developing CSCR in his left eye. He was referred to our retina clinic for further evaluation. On examination his vision was 6/6 Part in his right eye and 6/9 Part in his left eye. His dilated fundus examination revealed small foveal scar in his right eye and dull foveal reflex in his left eye. On OCT he had laser maculopathy in right eye and left fundus findings coincided with diagnosis of central serous chorio-retinopathy (CSCR). Patient was asked to discontinue his deltacortil tablets. The patient went back to his primary ophthalmologist who restarted deltacortil tablets. CSCR developed again. Key Words:  Maculopathy, burn, Steroids, Central Serous Chorio-retinopathy.
