An Monitor& Diagnosis Support System for Nuclear Power Plants (NPPMDS) is developed in the embedded real-time operation system VxWorks in this paper. NPPMCS includes data collection and validation unit, operation monitoring unit, fault diagnosis unit, alarm analysis unit, operation procedures and Human-machine interface and so on. The paper introduces the design and implementation of NPPMDS including the structure of the NPPMDS and the main function units. In order to confirm the validity of this system, the SGTR simulation experiment was carried out on a full scale simulator of nuclear power plants. The experimental results show that the system provides operation support, the load and pressure for the workers can be reduced and the safety of nuclear power plants can be enhanced.

A remote operated quadruped robot has been developed for disaster site which can move on stairs, slopes, and uneven floor under the radiation-polluted environment, such as TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plants [1][2]. In particular, the control method for stable walking and the remote operation system have been developed to move on stairs in the reactor building. We applied this robot to investigation of suspicious water leakage points in reactor building at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plants unit2[3]. In this investigation, a small vehicle equipped with camera and a manipulator which is connected the vehicle with cable were mounted on the robot and were carried to near the target by the quadruped robot and the investigation was carried out with the small vehicle.

In nuclear power plants, plant management systems are not only very important for operation and maintenance of the facilities, but also play a very important role in analyzing and reporting the events to the authorities when a failure or accident occurs in the facility. In addition, it is also important to ensure that event records are managed transparently so as not to cause any attempt to cover up events. Therefore, this paper proposes a tamper free plant operation system by applying blockchain technology to the integrated plant management system of Korea hydro and nuclear power (KHNP). As a result, this paper will contribute to improving public acceptance by eliminating distrust in safe operation of nuclear power plants.
