We report the synthesis and characterization of a dithienogermole (DTGe) based small molecule, named Ge-PO-2CN, as a donor material for bulk heterojunction (BHJ) organic solar cells (OSCs) and as a hole transport material (HTM) for dopant-free perovskite solar cells (PSCs).

The synthesis and characterization of a [Formula: see text]-phenylene-bridged ZnPc dimer along with a preliminary study of this material as hole transporting material (HTM) in perovskite solar cells is described. The maximum efficiencies that obtained are 15.2% for ZnPc-[Formula: see text]-ZnPc 1, thus demonstrating the potential of the Pc dimers that could pave the path to achieve highly efficient PSCs (PCE >20%).

Perovskite solar cells are emerging as highly potent and efficient devices as sustainable energy source. The stability issue of hybrid perovskite methyl ammonium lead bromide can be improved by all inorganic perovskites like cesium lead bromide (CsPbBr3). The present work is about the synthesis and characterization of CsPbBr3 for efficient perovskite solar cells. The synthesis is carried out using hot injection method. The resulting nanocrystals (NCs) are characterized using XRD, SEM, AFM, UV/Vis Spectroscopy, PL spectroscopy and Hall Effect measurements. The NCs are tested for their performance in solar cells.
