Perovskite solar cells are emerging as highly potent and efficient devices as sustainable energy source. The stability issue of hybrid perovskite methyl ammonium lead bromide can be improved by all inorganic perovskites like cesium lead bromide (CsPbBr3). The present work is about the synthesis and characterization of CsPbBr3 for efficient perovskite solar cells. The synthesis is carried out using hot injection method. The resulting nanocrystals (NCs) are characterized using XRD, SEM, AFM, UV/Vis Spectroscopy, PL spectroscopy and Hall Effect measurements. The NCs are tested for their performance in solar cells.

In this review, we first highlighted recent progress in high-performance perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) with a discussion of the fabrication methods and PVSCs-based tandem solar cells. Furthermore, the stability issue of PVSCs and strategies to improve material and device stability have been discussed, and finally, a summary of the recent progress in lead-free perovskites has been presented.

In a one-pot reaction, three new 2,3-diaminomaleonitrile (DAMN) derivative dyes were prepared by simple Schiff base reaction. The compounds were designed as a sensitizer in dye synthesizes solar cells (DSSCs). Many conditions have been used to provide the methodology to get the best yield. The prepared dyes were characterized by melting point, elemental microanalysis, mass spectroscopy, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. A computational study was carried out to support our results. The DSSC data was shown the best performance for SA3 dye with 0.38% efficiency at AM 1.5 then SA2 with 0.22% and the last dye is SA1 with 0.09%, compared to control cell (N719) 5.4%.
