A 49 year old man presented with near-fatal, fulminant, haemorrhagic cardiac tamponade. He responded well to emergency pericardiocentesis and subsequent investigation revealed the cause to be an unknown squamous carcinoma of the bronchus with pericardial involvement. He died 13 weeks later. Such a dramatic presentation of this type of tumour in a male patient has not been previously described.

Abstract Background This case report demonstrates pericardial effusion, acute pericarditis, and cardiac tamponade in an otherwise healthy woman who had a positive test result for coronavirus disease 2019. Few case reports have been documented on patients with this presentation, and it is important to share novel presentations of the disease as they are discovered. Case presentation A Caucasian patient with coronavirus disease 2019 returned to the emergency department of our hospital 2 days after her initial visit with worsening chest pain and shortness of breath. Imaging revealed new pericardial effusion since the previous visit. The patient became hypotensive, was taken for pericardial window for cardiac tamponade with a drain placed, and was treated for acute pericarditis. Conclusion Much is still unknown about the implications of coronavirus disease 2019. With the novel coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, research is still in process, and we are slowly learning about new signs and symptoms of the disease. This case report documents a lesser-known presentation of a patient with coronavirus disease 2019 and will help to further understanding of a rare presentation.

Supernumerary teeth are a relatively frequent disorder of odontogenesis characterized by an excess number of teeth. Mesiodens is the most common type of supernumerary teeth found in the premaxilla between the two central incisors. They can be supplemental (resembling natural teeth), conical, tuberculate, or molariform. We present a rare case of 41 year old male patient who presented with bilateral mesiodens. Spindle cell lipoma (SCL) in the scrotum is a very rare presentation with only a few cases reported in the literature. The most common sites for this benign lesion are the neck, shoulder, and back. We present a 72-year-old male patient with painless swelling on the left half of the scrotum with a histopathological diagnosis of SCL.

Introduction: Cardiac Hydatidosis is a rare and ominous complication of hydatid disease. Cardiac echinococcosis may be asymptomatic for several years but could be discovered after the development of lethal complications. Case Presentation: A 31-year-old-male referred with possible diagnosis of acute pericarditis. Abdominal and pelvic spiral CT scan showed focal and heterogeneous increased thickness of lateral left ventricular (LV) wall with protrusion into LV and bulging into pericardial space without central enhancement. His condition deteriorated suddenly due to cardiac tamponade with round cystic lesions suspected to hydatid cyst. Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging showed some round particles within effusion suggestive of possible scolex around the LV. There was round, and inhomogeneous cystic mass originated from sub-epicardial layer of mid-lateral LV that protruded into pericardial space. Diagnosis of hydatic cyst was confirmed by surgical specimen. Conclusions: We suggest that patients with pericarditis should be probed with echocardiography for the presence of hydatid cysts.

Cardiac involvement in malignant lymphoma is one of the least investigated subjects. Pericardial effusion is rarely symptomatic in patients of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). Few case reports are available in the literature. There are case reports of diagnosed HL patients presenting with pericardial effusion. HL patients who present with recurrent episodes of pericardial effusion have also been reported. Pericardial effusion has also been reported in cases of non HL. However, pericardial effusion leading to cardiac tamponade as an initial presentation of HL is extremely rare. Very few such cases are there in the literature. Here, we present a case of a 26-year-old male patient who presented with cardiac tamponade and in due course was found to be a case of classical type of HL. This case is interesting because of its presentation.

Celiac disease is a common malabsorptive disorder in the Indian subcontinent and autoimmune dysfunction of thyroid and pancreas is frequently encountered along with. Chronic Calcific pancreatitis is a unique entity commonly seen in alcoholics but very rare in a patient of celiac disease. This case report includes the interesting constellation of calcific pancreatitis with celiac disease in a young adult male patient known case of insulin dependent diabetes and hypothyroidism. We believe it to be the only case report from north India. A 32 year old Indian male patient known case of Diabetes and hypothyroidism presented with features of malabsorption and was diagnosed with Celiac disease and calcific pancreatitis on imaging. The symptoms and insulin requirement also improved with the treatment of Celiac disease. Although a common involvement of pancreas in celiac disease, calcific pancreatitis is a rare finding and improvement of both the insulin requirement and malabsorptive symptoms with the treatment of celiac disease and pancreatitis vice-a-versa.
