Two three-dimensional metal–organic frameworks 1 and 2 based on p-terphenyl-3,4′′,5-tricarboxylic acid (H3TPT) were synthesized by controlling the solvent media. These two MOFs exhibit high efficiency for the recyclable detection of nitroaromatic compounds.

A series of novel 3D lanthanide MOFs based on unsymmetrical 1,2,3-triazole-containing tricarboxylic acid ligand (H3TAIP) has been synthesized. Compound 1 [Tb(TAIP)(DMF)2] exhibits selective detection of 4-nitrotoluene and Fe3+ ion.

All solid solutions (EuxY1−x-PTC, x = 0.013–0.82) are isomorphic to Eu-PTC, but different from Y-PTC, and show phase selectivity as well as excitation wavelength dependent emission.
