A new and efficient one-pot synthesis of polysubstituted pyrrole derivatives by three-component reaction between dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates, triphenylphosphine, 2-aminopyridin derivatives in the presence of arylglyoxals is described. The reactions were performed in dichloromethane at room temperature and neutral conditions and afforded high yields of products.

The palladium-catalyzed one-pot synthesis of 2,3-deoxy-3-keto aryl C-glycosides is achieved from glycals and anilines in the presence of tert-butyl nitrite and aqueous HBF4 under mild conditions. This one-pot method stereospecifically provides α- and β-aryl glycosides (≥19:1 by NMR) in good yields at room temperature. The configuration at the C-3 position in the glycal determines the anomeric selectivity (i.e., α or β) of the desired products.

We report a facile one-pot synthetic method to prepare highly luminescent layered lead(ii) bromide perovskite microdisks with the lateral size of a few micrometers and thickness of 100–150 nm, featuring narrow deep blue emissions with quantum yields of up to 53% in toluene solutions and thin films at room temperature.

A facile and efficient method was developed for the preparation of a variety of aryl, heteroaryl, and alkyl N-sulfinyl imines using 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene. In addition to tert-butanesulfinamide, the condensation is also effective with p-toluenesulfinamide. The reaction was performed at room temperature and produces the corresponding N-sulfinyl imines in excellent yields in the absence of acids, metals, and additives. This methodology is also useful for the preparation of N-sulfinyl imines on gram scale. A one-pot synthesis was developed using aryl and heteroaryl alcohols with both tert-butanesulfinamide and p-toluenesulfinamide at room temperature, resulting in the corresponding N-sulfinyl imines with good yields.
