Urban rail transit network is a special complex kind of network, The lines and nodes' layout determine the entire network's features. This paper analyzes the topologic properties, degree distribution, average path length and robustness of Beijing subway network by matlab and it also analyzes the evolution of Beijing subway network, which can be worked for the future development of urban subway network planning and construction.

Traffic congestion and disorderly development of land will affect the development of cities. How to make efficient use of urban land is a major issue for cities. Based on this, the problems existing in the planning and construction of urban rail transit in our country were analyzed. The method of rail transit network layout, as well as the site size, site selection and spacing optimization methods were analyzed. The combinatorial network layout planning of Metro Line in a city was studied. According to the layout of rail transit stations, a layout optimization model was proposed. Three basic network layouts were used to lay down the subway lines in this city, and the site size, spacing and intersection points were planned. The effective utilization rate of urban land was increased, and people's travel time was saved, so as to provide a new idea for the layout of rail transit

The planning and construction of urban transit often pay more attention to the needs of urban traffic, and less to the needs of urban public space, which lead to the contradiction between rail transit and urban public space. The paper develops a theoretical framework for the integrated design of rail transit and public space, based on the analysis of contradictions and problems between them. First, an integrated planning method is put forward in a macro level through analyzing the interaction between rail transit network and public space system. Second, the influence factors are identified by analyzing the relationship between urban transit nodes and public spaces in all types and levels. Thus the integrated solution and pattern of rail transit nodes and public space are developed in a micro level. Third, the conceptual pattern has been applied in Wuhan city as a study case, putting forward the strategies of the integrated design of urban rail and public space of Wuhan city.

With the rail transit project planning and construction in Qingdao, the citizen’s lives will be profoundly influenced. Rail transit will not only promote the urban lands along the railway further development, but also assemble a large number of commercial, financial and office facilities. This essay, based on the investigation of the present development and construction of the central business district along Changjiang Road in Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone(Qingdao ETDZ),analyzes the current land use within 500 meters on both sides of the planned railway, and the present commercial status in rail-affected area as well as investment intentions of those potential investors, discusses the form of commercial presence along the rail transit, and then predicts the further development of the central business in Qingdao ETDZ.
