The three-body calculations on halo nuclei are reviewed and discussed. It is concluded that the ground state properties of halo nuclei 11 Li , 14 Be and 17 B are independent of the shape of two-body potentials and an explanation on it is given. It is also shown that an introduction of a three-body interaction may be useful for a good explanation of the properties of halo nuclei.

The structure nucleus [Formula: see text] is investigated in the Microscopic Cluster Model, using three-body model [Formula: see text]. This model is used to investigate neutron halo features such as binding energy of neutron valence, root-mean-square (rms) of radius and core deformation. All the features are studied in configuration-T and -Y. In this study, theoretical framework is used in the MATLAB software to run the computational calculations. The results are compared with the experimental data.

We investigate the three-body Coulomb breakup reaction of two-neutron halo nuclei 11 Li , where we adopt the extended three-body model of 11 Li with paying attention to the pairing correlation of the nuclei, and also employ the complex scaling method (CSM) to solve the three-body unbound states of 11 Li . From the results, we cannot find any dipole resonances, at least, having small decay widths. This means that the breakup strength is exhausted by the continuum states. We compare the obtained strength showing the low energy enhancement to the several experimental data.

We present a theoretical description of (p, pn) reactions induced by two-neutron halo nuclei at intermediate energies. For this purpose, we use a reaction framework that incorporates a full three-body model for the projectile, and we focus on the cases of 11Li and 14Be. Our results provide a direct link between the structure properties of these nuclei and different reaction observables, such as relative-energy spectra or momentum distributions. We discuss also on the link between dineutron correlations and opening-angle distributions.
