This LUMAT special issue is a collection of selected papers from the 24th international conference of mathematical views that was held on August 20–22, 2018 in Helsinki, Finland. The conference was a wonderful opportunity to elaborate issues related to mathematics-related affect among colleagues interested in this area of research. The keynote at the conference was given by Reinhard Pekrun with a title: “Achievement emotions in mathematics”.  Out of the 25 conference presentations, 12 were submitted as a manuscript for peer review. We had one reviewer selected among MAVI 24 participants, and another reviewer was invited among mathematics affect researchers who were not at the conference. After the review and revisions, we ended up with eight articles that you can read in this special issue.

All papers published in this volume of Journal of Physics: Conference Series have been peer reviewed through processes administered by the Editors. Reviews were conducted by expert referees to the professional and scientific standards expected of a proceedings journal published by IOP Publishing. • Type of peer review: Single-blind / Double-blind / Triple-blind / Open / Other In our conference, we do a single-blind peer review where the author does not know who the reviewers are. Submitting papers, editor decisions, review processes were conducted through our system http://ice-elinvo.uny.ac.id/. Reviews were conducted by expert referees to the professional and scientific standards. • Describe criteria used by Reviewers when accepting/declining papers. Was there the opportunity to resubmit articles after revisions? Six criteria must be met by the papers that are included in the ICE-ELINVO 2021 international conference. All reviewers must refer to these six criteria. 1. Is the paper relevant to the conference theme? 2. Does it contribute to the theoretical or practical domains? 3. Does it state the problem statement? 4. Does it comprise an appropriate research methodology or proposed method? 5. Does it describe indicative results? 6. Does it fulfill the requirements of the paper template? Each criterion has a value from the range 1-4. The reviewer will evaluate each criterion, and then the system will add up all the scores for each criterion. The maximum total value is 24. The next stage is that the reviewer will send back the paper reviewed to the author through the system. Finally, authors are given two weeks to correct and resubmit. • Conference submission management system: http://ice-elinvo.uny.ac.id (our University has our own management system for reviewing articles) • Number of submissions received: 84 Papers • Number of submissions sent for review: 68 Papers • Number of submissions accepted: 56 Papers • Acceptance Rate (Number of Submissions Accepted / Number of Submissions Received X 100): 66.67 • Average number of reviews per paper: 2 • Total number of reviewers involved: 48 • Any additional info on review process (ie plagiarism check system): Each manuscript submitted to the ICE-ELINVO 2021 international conference was checked for plagiarism using Turnitin. • Contact person for queries: Muhammad Luthfi Hakim, Department of Electrical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The organizing committee of IEMSS 2021 is proud to present the proceedings of the 2021 3rd International Conference on Innovations in Economic Management and Social Science, held in Hohhot, China during November 27-28, 2021.   IEMSS 2021 aims to bring together researchers, scientists, engineers, and scholar students to exchange and share their experience, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of innovations in economic management and social science, and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.   IEMSS 2021 received more than 50 manuscripts, and less than 40 submissions have been accepted by our reviewers. By submitting a paper to IEMSS 2021, the authors agreed to the review process and understood that papers would undergo a peer-review process. Manuscripts were reviewed by appropriately qualified experts in the field selected by the conference committee, who took detailed comments and-if the submission was accepted-the authors would submit a revised version that took into account this feedback.   Hopefully, all participants and other interested readers will benefit scientifically from the proceedings and also find it stimulating in the process.   With warmest regards,   IEMSS Conference Organizing Committees Hohhot, China

The Autumn meeting of the Society for Acute Medicine in 2016 was co-hosted with the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and was held in the prestigious surroundings of the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. As usual a large number of abstracts were received and over 150 of these were selected for display as posters following peer review. Those ranked most highly were also presented orally, and the abstracts of these are published here. We have also published the abstracts of the posters which were awarded ‘highly commended’ rosettes during the meeting.
