Authors must ensure that the papers submitted use the symposium format. There are three review processes: Initial Review, Peer Review and Acceptance Decision. Initial Review The Editors-in-Chief evaluates each manuscript in the submission theme to determine if its topic and content can be considered for the conference before being reviewed. Manuscripts that do not meet the initial criteria are rejected. Peer Review Papers accepted in the first stage underwent a review and revision process that took an average of two rounds for each paper. The peer review of each paper concentrates on objective and technical concerns to determine whether the research has been sufficiently well conceived, well executed, and well described to justify inclusion in the scientific evidence. After acceptance, articles were reread in English and checked for similarity via Turnitin. Articles with a similarity index greater than 20% were rejected. Acceptance decision Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editor-in-chief makes a final decision on the acceptability of the manuscript and communicates the decision to the authors, along with the reviewers’ reports. Reviews were conducted by expert referees to the professional and scientific standards expected of a proceedings journal published by IOP Publishing. • Type of peer review: Double-blind review First of all, the editor Iris will take a simple check to know whether the paper topics are included in the call-for-paper areas of this conference, if not, the submission will be rejected or seggested to other conferences. The included submissions will then be numbered and sent to the conference committee members(reviewers) for peer-review, the author names, emails and affiliations were removed constantly in this porocess. Each reviewer should fill in the reviewing form and 9 criterias in total are to be scored (5-point scale, with 1=lowest and 5=highest), including “Originality: Is the work relevant and novel”, “Motivation: Does the problem considered have a sound motivation”, “Repetition: Have significant parts of the manuscript already been published”, “Length: Is the content of the work of sufficient scientific interest to justify its length”, “Conclusion: Does the paper contain a carefully conclusion, summarizing what has been learned and why it is useful”, “Reference: Is the reference adequate and necessary”, “Structure: Is the manuscript structure(including the title, abstract and the content) rational”, “Language: Is the language accurate and readable”, “Diagrams, figures, tables and captions: Are they essential and clear”. Then the reviewer will give an overall evaluation or Detailed reviewing result(if any). In the end of the form, the final decision of Accept/Revision/Reject should be selected. No matter which selection the paper was marked, we send the whole reviewing form to the authors. Reviews were conducted by expert referees to the professional and scientific standards expected of a proceedings journal published by IOP Publishing. • Type of peer review: Double-blind The conference papers were double-blind reviewed, where the identity of both author and reviewer on the papers will be hidden. The process is started by manuscript submission to EasyChair- web-based conference management software system. The editorial team then doing plagiarism check using DrillBit plagiarism software on submitted papers. The plagiarism process is under no-repository mode. If the plagiarism result exceeds 10%, the paper will be returned to the author for revision and request for new submission. For papers passed the similarity checks, the editorial member will then assign the papers to two reviewers for topic-related content review within designated time limits. All reviewers will have access link to the papers to evaluate and judge substantial indicators, such as: abstract sufficiently informative; clarity in the presentation of findings; methodology appropriate to study; results or conclusion supported by data analysis; and originality/novelty of finding. Clarity of figures and texts are also the main concern. The reviewers can also write their constructive critics directly in the EasyChair and put their judgement for the papers to be: (1) accepted and continued for camera-ready version, (2) accepted with minor revision, (3) accepted with major revision, or (4) rejected.
