In the title compound, C10H5ClO3, a chlorinated 3-formylchromone derivative, all atoms are essentially coplanar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0592 Å for all non-H atoms), with the largest deviation from the least-squares plane [0.1792 (19) Å] being for the chromone-ring carbonyl O atom. In the crystal, molecules are linked through C—H...O hydrogen bonds to form tetrads, which are assembled by stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distance between the pyran rings = 3.823 (3) Å] and van der Waals contacts between the Cl atoms [Cl...Cl = 3.4483 (16) Å and C—Cl...Cl = 171.73 (7)°] into a three-dimensional architecture.

In the title compound, C11H10Br2O2, the cyclopentene ring fused to the benzene ring adopts an envelope conformation, with the C atom attached to the Br atom as the flap. The crystal structure does not exhibit any classical hydrogen bonds. The molecular packing is stabilized by van der Waals forces and π–π stacking interactions with a centroid–centroid distance of 3.811 (4) Å.

In the crystal, molecules are linked through π–π stacking interactions along theaaxis [centroid–centroid distance between the pyran rings = 3.824 (6) Å] and two stacks are connected by type I halogen–halogen interactions between the Cl atoms [Cl...Cl = 3.397 (3) Å].

The title compound, C10H4I2O3, is an iodinated 3-formylchromone derivative, and the atoms are essentially coplanar [r.m.s. deviation = 0.049 Å, largest deviation from the least-squares plane = 0.111 (9) Å for the CH(=O) C atom]. In the crystal, molecules are linked into a three-dimensional network through halogen bonds [I...O = 3.352 (5) and 3.405 (7) Å, C—I...O = 144.2 (3) and 154.5 (3)°, and C=O...I = 134.9 (6) and 146.0 (6)°], and π–π stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.527 (6) Å].

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C13H11ClN4O2S, contains two molecules (AandB), in which the dihedral angles between the 1H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridine system and terminal phenyl ring are 80.83 (10) and 62.34 (1)°. In the crystal,A–Bdimers are linked by pairs of N—H...N hydrogen bonds, which generateR22(10) loops. The dimers are linked by C—H...O and C—H...Cl interactions, generating a three-dimensional network. Aromatic π–π stacking interactions [shortest centroid–centroid distance = 3.5211 (12) Å] are also observed.

In the title compound, C7H4F2O3, an intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bond is observed. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O—H...O hydrogen bonds generateR22(8) ring motifs. These dimers are linked by C—H...O and C—H...F hydrogen bonds, forming sheets lying parallel to (30-1). The sheets are linked by aromatic π–π stacking interactions [inter-centroid distance = 3.7817 (9) Å], forming a three-dimensional structure.

In the title compound, C10H4BrFO3, a brominated and fluorinated 3-formylchromone derivative, all atoms are essentially coplanar (r.m.s. deviation of 0.025 Å for the non-H atoms), with the largest deviation from the least-squares plane [0.050 (6) Å] being for a benzene-ring C atom. In the crystal, molecules are linked through stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distance between the benzene and pyran rings = 3.912 (4) Å], C—H...O hydrogen bonds and short C...O contacts [2.865 (7) Å]. Unsymmetrical halogen...halogen interactions between the bromine and fluorine atoms [Br...F = 3.116 (4) Å, C—Br...F = 151.8 (2), C—F...Br = 154.1 (4)°] are also formed, giving a meandering two-dimensional network propagating in the (041) plane. A comparison with related structures is made and the various types of weak interactions are ranked in importance.

In the title compound, C10H5BrO3, a brominated 3-formylchromone, all atoms are essentially coplanar (r.m.s. = 0.0104 Å for the non-H atoms), with the largest deviation from the least-squares plane [0.028 (5) Å] being for one of the benzene C atoms. In the crystal, molecules are linked through C—H...O hydrogen bonds, which are further assembled by face-to-face π–π stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distance between the pyran rings = 3.854 (4) Å]. Shorter contacts than the sum of van der Waals radii are observed between the Br and formyl O atoms [Br...O = 3.046 (4) Å, C—Br...O = 175.23 (18)° and Br...O—C = 132.6 (3)°], features that do indicate halogen bonding.

The central imidazole ring in the title compound, C28H30N2O2, makes dihedral angles of 28.42 (13), 71.22 (15) and 29.50 (14)°, respectively, with the phenyl rings in the 4- and 5-positions and the 3,4-dimethoxyphenyl group. In the crystal, molecules are linked by C—H...O and C—H...N hydrogen bonds, weak π–π stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.760 (2) Å] and C—H...π contacts, forming a three-dimensional network.
