Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to find new non-traveling wave solutions and study its localized structure of Caudrey-Dodd-Gibbon-Kotera-Sawada (CDGKS) equation. Design/methodology/approach – The authors apply the Lie group method twice and combine with the Exp-function method and Riccati equation mapping method to the (2+1)-dimensional CDGKS equation. Findings – The authors have obtained some new non-traveling wave solutions with two arbitrary functions of time variable. Research limitations/implications – As non-linear evolution equations is characterized by rich dynamical behavior, the authors just found some of them and others still to be found. Originality/value – These results may help the authors to investigate some new localized structure and the interaction of waves in high-dimensional models. The new non-traveling wave solutions with two arbitrary functions of time variable are obtained for CDGKS equation using Lie group approach twice and combining with the Exp-function method and Riccati equation mapping method by the aid of Maple.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to find out some new rational non-traveling wave solutions and to study localized structures for (2+1)-dimensional Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur (AKNS) equation. Design/methodology/approach Along with some special transformations, the Lie group method and the rational function method are applied to the (2+1)-dimensional AKNS equation. Findings Some new non-traveling wave solutions are obtained, including generalized rational solutions with two arbitrary functions of time variable. Research limitations/implications As a typical nonlinear evolution equation, some dynamical behaviors are also discussed. Originality/value With the help of the Lie group method, special transformations and the rational function method, new non-traveling wave solutions are derived for the AKNS equation by Maple software. These results are much useful for investigating some new localized structures and the interaction of waves in high-dimensional models, and enrich dynamical features of solutions for the higher dimensional systems.

A comprehensive study of the negative-order Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (nKP) partial differential equation by Lie group method has been presented. Initially the infinitesimal generators and symmetry reduction, which were obtained by applying the Lie group method on the negative-order Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation, have been used for constructing the reduced equations. In particular, the traveling wave solutions for the negative-order KP equation have been derived from the reduced equations as an invariant solution. Finally, the extended improved (G′/G) method and the extended tanh method are described and applied in constructing new explicit expressions for the traveling wave solutions. Many new and more general exact solutions are obtained.

The generalized Riccati equation mapping is extended with the basic(G′/G)-expansion method which is powerful and straightforward mathematical tool for solving nonlinear partial differential equations. In this paper, we construct twenty-seven traveling wave solutions for the (2+1)-dimensional modified Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation by applying this method. Further, the auxiliary equationG′(η)=w+uG(η)+vG2(η)is executed with arbitrary constant coefficients and called the generalized Riccati equation. The obtained solutions including solitons and periodic solutions are illustrated through the hyperbolic functions, the trigonometric functions, and the rational functions. In addition, it is worth declaring that one of our solutions is identical for special case with already established result which verifies our other solutions. Moreover, some of obtained solutions are depicted in the figures with the aid of Maple.

By using the method of dynamical systems, this paper studies the exact traveling wave solutions and their bifurcations in the Gardner equation. Exact parametric representations of all wave solutions as well as the explicit analytic solutions are given. Moreover, several series of exact traveling wave solutions of the Gardner–KP equation are obtained via an auxiliary function method.

In this paper, some new traveling wave solutions to the Hirota–Maccari equation are constructed with the help of the newly introduced method called generalized exponential rational function method. Several families of exact solutions are found corresponding to the equation. To the best of our knowledge, these solutions are new, and have never been addressed in the literature. The graphical interpretation of the solutions is also depicted. Moreover, it is contemplated that the proposed technique can also be employed to another sort of complex models.

The exact traveling wave solutions of (4 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear Fokas equation is obtained by using three distinct methods with symbolic computation. The modified tanh–coth method is implemented to obtain single soliton solutions whereas the extended Jacobi elliptic function method is applied to derive doubly periodic wave solutions for this higher-dimensional integrable equation. The Exp-function method gives generalized wave solutions with some free parameters. It is shown that soliton solutions and triangular solutions can be established as the limits of the Jacobi doubly periodic wave solutions.

We construct new analytical solutions of the (3+1)-dimensional modified KdV-Zakharov-Kuznetsev equation by the Exp-function method. Plentiful exact traveling wave solutions with arbitrary parameters are effectively obtained by the method. The obtained results show that the Exp-function method is effective and straightforward mathematical tool for searching analytical solutions with arbitrary parameters of higher-dimensional nonlinear partial differential equation.

In this study, we acquire some new exact traveling wave solutions to the nonlinear Schrödinger’s equation in the presence of Hamiltonian perturbations. The compendious integration tool, generalized exponential rational function method (GERFM), is utilized in the presence of quadratic-cubic nonlinear media. The obtained results depict the efficiency of the proposed scheme and are being reported for the first time.
