It studies the changing regulation of fast out-of-step separation criterion based on equivalent two-machine power system. Analysis of the characteristics of the caring variables of fast out-of-step separation criterion on sending end and receiving end is mentioned. In order to solve the problem that the out-of-step connecting line cannot be identified correctly apply on the criterion of the existing fast out-of-step separation if the measurement point at the receiving end, it improves the power angle and active power criterion. The simulation is carried out in our actual grid model with using BPA and the results of the simulation handled by MATLAB proves that the out-of-step of line can be distinguished by using the improved fast out-of-step separation criterion in each end of line.

Leading phase operation of generator is an effective method for the control and regulation of voltage and reactive power of power system. The ability of voltage regulation for key buses by control of generator is presented in this paper. The PSD-BPA software - Power System Analysis Software Package (PSD-BPA) is introduced firstly. The management database for leading phase operation of generator is discussed. From the lagging phase operation to leading phase operation of generator, the change curves of voltage for main 500kV bus and 220kV bus are analyzed. The sensitivity on voltage regulation of each generator of leading phase operation is given. Based on the analysis of short circuit fault of power plant, the limit output power of leading phase operation of multi-generators is proposed. The leading phase operation of generator has many advantages, such as easy to operate, simple and feasible implement, and the actual operation is safe and reliable. The technique was worthy to be widely used.

Models of impact load of steel enterprises play an important role in the stability influence of impact load on power system. Take a certain steel enterprise for an example, two modeling methods of impact load are proposed, which can be easily integrated with power system analysis software package (PSASP). These two methods have certain practicality and can be used in most of impact load.
