This research discusses the design of the microstrip array antenna with the rosette patch model that works on WLAN 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz frequencies which are used for WIFI networks. This microstrip antenna is made using a feedline feed or direct feed with a directional radiation pattern. The initial design used Ansoft HFSS v.13. Software, then fabricated the Microstrip Antenna using a PCB with a single layer FR4 type, and consisted of a patch, substrate, and groundplane. This antenna has dimensions of 94 mm in length and 63.3 mm in width. The measurement results in Laboratorium obtained VSWR 1.6, return loss -12.817, and 31.357 impedance, at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. While at a frequency of 5.2 GHz the VSWR value is 1.292, return loss is -18,210, and impedance is 46.417.

AbstractA new circularly polarized microstrip array antenna using the orthogonal feed technique is proposed in this paper. The antenna has a multi-layer structure and a new 3-way power divider employing the both-sided microwave integrated circuit technology is designed to configure the feed network of the array. Circular polarization (CP) is realized by creating a quadrature phase difference between orthogonal feed circuits of the patches. The multi-layer structure gives flexibility to adjust the patch spacing that helps to reduce the sidelobe level of the antenna. It is found that the multi-layer structure exhibits a gain of about 2 dB higher than that of a single layer structure by means of sidelobe reduction. The proposed structure also exhibits good CP performances that are verified by a good agreement of measured and simulated results. Simple and compact structure makes the antenna suitable for various wireless applications.

This paper presents the design of 2*1 and 4*1 RFID reader microstrip array antenna at 2.4GHz for the Internet of things (IoT) networks which are Zigbee, Bluetooth and WIFI. The proposed antenna is composed of identical circular shapes radiating patches printed in FR4 substrate. The dielectric constant εr and substrate thickness h are 4.4 and 1.6mm, respectively. The 2*1 and 4*1 array antennas present a gain improvement of 27.3% and 61.9%, respectively. The single,2*1 and 4*1 array antennas were performed with CADFEKO.
