Currently, renewable energy is under review so that its use can be more widespread in the future. One of the renewable energy sources that are commonly used is solar energy through solar cell technology that can convert solar energy into electrical energy and then becomes one of the components that makes up the solar power plant. The use of the solar power plant can be interconnected with distribution networks in electric power systems, both medium-voltage networks and low voltage networks. In this study, a 3 MWp capacity of solar power plant was conducted with the medium-voltage network system of X City. This interconnection study consisted of power flow and short circuit studies using ETAP 12.6.0 software. The results of the power flow study show the voltage level of each bus has increased by 0.293%-0.926% after interconnection with the solar power plant system, with a value that still matches the SPLN 1:1978 standard of 90% to 105%. Besides, the results of short circuit study show the value of the three-phase short circuit fault current experienced a change in value that is not too significant, with an increase of 1-37 A and a decrease of 1-5 A, with a value that is still according to the protection component rating standard of 25 kA.

Abstract. Today, countries are shifting their energy policies towards to renewable energy sources. The main reasons for this can be summarized as the reduction of fossil fuel resources, resulting in cost increase and their harmful effect on the ecological balance. Since renewable energy sources are both economical and eco-friendly, for countries which have high solar energy potential such as Turkey, it is reasonable to direct their energy policies to solar energy which is a renewable energy source.

In this study, the development of renewable energy legislation in Turkey, from past to present has been examined and implementation steps for the licenced and unlicensed generation of electricity from solar energy have been introduced. Ten impact factors have been identified as the first step for the implementation of the solar power plant site selection in Istanbul, which was determined as the pilot region. Impact factors weighted using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Concurrently, the weights of these determined impact factors were compared with the weights obtained by evaluating the results of the “Evaluation of Solar Energy Power Plant Site Selection Factors” survey conducted during the study. After obtaining the weights, the relevant data were collected and the necessary analyses were performed with the help of the GIS software and the most suitable places were provided for the solar power plant for Istanbul.

Indonesia has 442 GW total of potential renewable energy equivalence which can be used for electricity generation. However, the energy utilization in 2018 is only 8.8 GW or 0.019% of total potential renewable energy, while the biggest renewable energy potential is at 207.8 GWp. By also considering the growing number of household customers, utilizing the rooftop as the base of solar power plant generators can be an effective and efficient solution. The purposes of this research are to technically design and analyze the household-scale rooftop solar power plant potential with an on-grid system. Through the utilization of PVSyst 6.43 software and a variety of main components, this household-scale rooftop solar power plant potential performance planning is expected to generate 4.23 kWh / kWp per day.

Development of renewable energy power plant represents a strategic way to increase electrification ratio and to reduce CO2 emission. One of renewable energy potential resources in Indonesia is solar power since the country is located in the equator line. In 2014, there are 8,170 kWp community based solar power plant that has been built by the government in the rural area. However, advantages of community based solar power plant will depend on its sustainability. This study examines the sustainability of community based solar power plant based on an interview with local government. It also determines the potential of community based solar power plant reduces CO2 emission at the research location. The interview was conducted with Authorized Environmental Agency. The results show that sustainability of solar power plant in the research area is considered to be good. It is also known that CO2 emission reduction in research location during its lifetime is 316,302 kg. It is believed that this successful example can provide policy recommendation for government to develop a more solar power plant in another rural area.

Using organizational performance management that is validated and used in active companies, this research aims to study business performance management in entrepreneurial frameworks. This study presents a conceptual approach based on some theories founded on the organizational performance management as a process, but adapted to the context of entrepreneurship. It is proposed the conceptual analysis and submitting the verification of the formulated hypotheses. An entrepreneurial framework is defined by some factors such as: entrepreneur, along with his personal and professional characteristics, who is the main actor of the so-called entrepreneurial process; business idea that entrepreneur wants to turn it into profitable business; market opportunity, which demonstrates that the business idea is valid, has novelty and can be fructified and developed; business plan, that needs to be well prepared in a very detailed manner and containing long run strategies; business start-up resources, including time resources allocated to implement the business plan, physical resources, information, financial and human resources; the environment where the business will be active; technology needed to develop the business activity. To study more closely the issue of performance management in entrepreneurial contexts, will be defined entrepreneurial performance management as a process, which can lead to the success rate of a business idea and to the rate of business sustainability. To perform this study it has been proposed a case study where an entrepreneur wants to develop a business in renewable energy, and more specifically, the development of a solar power plant that transforms solar energy into electricity, which then it’s been introduced into the national grid of electricity supply. So in this research will be studied the entire process by which the real business appears and a variant of the case that the solar power plant could be built in Romania and will be proposed a detailed system of performance indicators, specific to the entrepreneurial framework. Using a research methodology based on case study, this research has as a central objective, to define the entrepreneurial performance management through a set of specific performance indicators, which can then be used in practice, by entrepreneurs who want to start a new business in renewable energy.

Availability of renewable energy now makes solar energy the right choice because of its advantages and easy application compared to other renewable energy sources. Monitoring of the output parameters of solar power plants needs to be done to assess the performance and efficiency of a solar power plant in real environmental conditions. The aims of research is to provide a direct and real time monitoring. This research has been carried out in solar power plants at Engineering Physics Department, FTI-ITS. The design of an ATmega32 microcontroller-based system that is integrated with Raspberry-pi as a data acquisition system. Data reading solar power plants output parameters stored in memory can be downloaded at any time. The analysis result shows that the efficiency of photovoltaic arrays is 10.78 %. The total efficiency of the solar power plants system is 8.05 %.

Abstract The use of renewable energy has commonly concentrated on energy production through wind engines and solar panels. Nowadays, the micro-hydropower (MHP) plant has a great challenge as an important contributor to energy systems. Indonesia has the potential natural resources to develop that power plant, in the form of the river where is abundant throughout all provinces. The research aims to address solving issues regarding deficit energy by renewable energy production. The environmental and hydrological approaches were used to determine the location to obtain the optimal and proper utilization of MHP. The analysing from all modelling creates an economical assessment of MHP energy production. The result recommends MHP with the capacity of 2 x 4.0 MW and a total discharge of 14.30 m3/second whereas design flood discharge is 813.47 m3/second (Q100 year). The implementation of MHP is an effort to achieve independent energy in the region.
