Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) image segmentation is one of the critical technologies of clinical medicine, and is the basis of three-dimensional reconstruction and downstream analysis between normal tissues and diseased tissues. However, there are various limitations in brain MRI images, such as gray irregularities, noise, and low contrast, reducing the accuracy of the brain MRI images segmentation. In this paper, we propose two optimization solutions for the fuzzy clustering algorithm based on local Gaussian probability fuzzy C-means (LGP-FCM) model and anisotropic weight fuzzy C-means (AW-FCM) model and apply it in brain MRI image segmentation. An FCM clustering algorithm is proposed based on AW-FCM. By introducing the new neighborhood weight calculation method, each point has the weight of anisotropy, effectively overcomes the influence of noise on the image segmentation. In addition, the LGP model is introduced in the objective function of fuzzy clustering, and a fuzzy clustering segmentation algorithm based on LGP-FCM is proposed. A clustering segmentation algorithm of adaptive scale fuzzy LGP model is proposed. The neighborhood scale corresponding to each pixel in the image is automatically estimated, which improves the robustness of the model and achieves the purpose of precise segmentation. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed LGP-FCM algorithm outperforms comparison algorithms in terms of sensitivity, specificity and accuracy. LGP-FCM can effectively segment the target regions from brain MRI images.

Due to the low segmentation accuracy and sensitivity to initial contour in image segmentation of CV model, an image segmentation algorithm based on CV model combined with spatial fuzzy c-means was proposed for MRI and CT image segmentation with unclear boundary, artifact and high noise. Based on the rough segmentation of the image by using the fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm in the spatial domain, the initial contour is set by using the clustering information to assist the CV model, and the target region is segmented by iterative evolution. The experimental results showed that when the number of iterations was only 50, the Dice coefficient of our algorithm for segmentation of brain MRI images was 89.17%, 38.9% higher than the traditional CV model. It can be seen that the algorithm has higher discrimination and better segmentation effect for medical images.

As the precious cultural heritage of the Chinese nation, traditional costumes are in urgent need of scientific research and protection. In particular, there are scanty studies on costume silhouettes, due to the reasons of the need for cultural relic protection, and the strong subjectivity of manual measurement, which limit the accuracy of quantitative research. This paper presents an automatic measurement method for traditional Chinese costume dimensions based on fuzzy C-means clustering and silhouette feature point location. The method is consisted of six steps: (1) costume image acquisition; (2) costume image preprocessing; (3) color space transformation; (4) object clustering segmentation; (5) costume silhouette feature point location; and (6) costume measurement. First, the relative total variation model was used to obtain the environmental robustness and costume color adaptability. Second, the FCM clustering algorithm was used to implement image segmentation to extract the outer silhouette of the costume. Finally, automatic measurement of costume silhouette was achieved by locating its feature points. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method could effectively segment the outer silhouette of a costume image and locate the feature points of the silhouette. The measurement accuracy could meet the requirements of industrial application, thus providing the dual value of costume culture research and industrial application.
