This paper introduces design and implementation of a kind of stepping type heating furnace automatic control system. In this system, the instrument collects variables of all kinds of process, and then put into PLC, PLC drives corresponding actuator respectively according to the setting control mode and control target value. The requirements of this design are that the control system can control temperature accurately in high temperature environment, in order to realize the furnace temperature uniformity and achieve the requirements of higher-level processing as well as improve the system stability and save energy.

The paper introduces the surge phenomenon of the axial-flow compressor. To ensure the blower running safely, we analyze the surge phenomenon and design a anti-surge control system by using the fuzzy control theory to control the position of the snorting valve. The result of simulation in Matlab proves that the fuzzy controller is feasible.

There are many processes which have been automatically controlled by PID control or by the present control theory, but there are still many which are dependent on an operator's manipulations for control. Skilled operators, by their perceptions or experiences, can exercise controls even of such processes which have peculiar characteristics and for which it is difficult to provide automatic controls. The fuzzy control system was created to allow computers to apply the same controls as skilled operators do, by taking the operator's techniques into the computer. We shall describe below an outline of fuzzy control and the fuzzy control system we have developed.

Classical control theory method often cannot obtain good static and dynamic performance in speed control system of asynchronous motor that is multivariable, nonlinear and strong coupling. However, with the application of modern control theory, it can effectively improve the operating performance of system in a complicated environment. This paper introduces the basic principle of vector control system and establishes the simulation model of vector control system of asynchronous motor. Meanwhile, according to fuzzy control theory, this paper shows a design of fuzzy controller and it is applied to the vector control system of speed adjusting module. Finally, it uses Matlab/Simulink to simulate and it verifies that Fuzzy vector control system response faster has better stability and stronger robust performance compared to the traditional vector control. Key words: induction motor; vector control; fuzzy control

Control engineering is one of the important engineering topics taught at many engineering based universities around the world in most undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The control engineering curriculum includes both the classical feedback based control theory and the state space theory. The modern control theory is based on the intelligent control algorithms utilizing the soft computing techniques, such as the fuzzy control theory and neural networks. Laboratory work is an important part of any control engineering course. The problem with the modern control theory laboratories is that it is essential to offer simple experiments to students so that they can easily put the complex theories they have learned in their courses into practice and see and understand the results. This paper describes the design of a low-cost fuzzy based microcontroller temperature control system using off the shelf products. The developed system should provide a low-cost fuzzy control experiment in the laboratories for students studying control engineering.
