Abstract A review of the current knowledge on the diversity of inquiline oak gall wasps (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Cynipinae) from Colombia is conducted for the first time. A new species, Synergus dawnus Lobato-Vila and Pujade-Villar, is formally described and illustrated, and an undescribed specimen from the same genus is diagnosed and discussed. New biological, morphological, and distribution data of the only two previously known species from this country (Synergus colombianus Nieves-Aldrey, 2005 and Synergus pedroi Pujade-Villar, Lobato-Vila, and Fernández-Garzón, 2017), as well as an identification key to the Colombian species of Synergus Hartig, 1840, are provided. The morphological variability of the Colombian species of Synergus, especially of S. pedroi, is discussed.

A new species of the genus Andricus Hartig, 1840 (Cynipidae: Cynipini) is described from Burdur province in Turkey: Andricus arslani Azmaz & Katılmış sp. n. sexual generation. The new species induce galls on Quercus cerris L. belonging to section Cerris. SEM images, photos of the host galls, and data on the diagnosis, distribution, and biology of the new species are provided.

A new gall wasp species, Cerroneuroterus yukawamasudai Pujade-Villar & Melika sp. nov., is described from China. The asexual generation induces leaf lenticular galls, and the sexual generation induces catkin galls on Q. acutissima and Q. variabilis. Sexual females and males are not described yet. Data on the diagnosis, distribution, and biology of the new species are provided, including a key to sexual and asexual females of all described Cerroneuroterus species. Previous misidentifications of host galls recorded in Japan are commented on. Molecular analyses were performed to assess the validity of the genus Cerroneuroterus and the affiliation of the new species.

A new species of cynipid herb gall wasp, Aulacidea turcica Azmaz & Katılmış sp. n., (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Aulacideini) is described from Turkey. Based on morphological characters, A. turcica belongs to the genus Aulacidea. Both sexual females and males of this species are known and the females induce galls on the stem of Digitalis ferruginea. This is the first record of host use in the genus Digitalis and possibly the family Plantaginaceae by a species of Aulacidea. Five species belonging to Aulacideini were previously known from Turkey. SEM images and data on the diagnosis, distribution, and biology of the new species are provided.

A new gall wasp species, Plagiotrochus hepingensis sp. n. is described from Hunan Province, China that forms integral galls on the central vein on the abaxial leaf blade surface of Quercus (Cyclobalanopsis) glauca (Fagaceae). The morphological characters of the new species are described and photographed and data on the diagnosis, distribution, and biology are given. Additionally, a specific region of the COI gene was amplified using the primers HCO-2198 and LCO-1490 and compared for both the new species and Plagiotrochus masudai Ide, Wachi & Abe.

A new gall wasp species, Dryocosmus liui Pang, Su et Zhu n. sp., is described from Hunan Province, China. The new species forms integral galls on branches of Castanopsis tibetana Hance. The results of morphological comparison, pair-wise genetic distance of mtDNA COI, and phylogenetic analysis based on COI gene sequences did not support treating Chilaspis and Dryocosmus as separate genera. Our results also provided new evidence supporting the notion that the Nearctic Dryocosmus species may represent a lineage distinct from the Old World species of the genus.
