This paper is a qualitative case study designed to identify prospective science teachers mathematical-logical structures on the basis of their knowledge and achievement levels in magnetism. The study also made an attempt to reveal the effects of knowledge-level variables and procedural variables, which were considered to be potential factors, on the teachers knowledge and achievement levels. The participants knowledge level was represented by the APS score (knowledge-level variable), whereas their achievement level was expressed by the ASS score (achievement level). The prospective teachers knowledge and achievement levels in mathematical logic were 0.204 and 0.305, respectively. The knowledge-level variables were given-asked, formula, and operation. On the other hand, the procedural variables consisted of formula knowledge, basic math knowledge, and scientific knowledge. The latter group of variables had the following values, respectively: 0.336, 0.758, and 0.199. The findings indicated that basic math knowledge led the participants to have an achievement level higher than their knowledge level. The other variables had values similar to those of the knowledge and achievement levels.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore supplier integration in the assortment management of builders’ merchants (BMs) by identifying potential factors enabling supplier integration and potential factors mediating the success of supplier integration. Design/methodology/approach – A qualitative case study method was used, in which interviews and participative observations were conducted with a timber supplier and BMs in the UK. Findings – The likelihood that a supplier and a retailer will implement supplier integration is positively affected by the retailer’s format as a large chain with several product categories represented in its stores and the retailer’s trust in the supplier. Effectiveness and efficiency of supplier integration is mediated by the number of different retail formats represented by the retailers, the ability of the supplier to determine cost drivers in its operations and a homogeneous market, meaning that local circumstances have limited effect on demand. Research limitations/implications – The findings are exploratory and further testing of the propositions, using a wider empirical sample, is required. The paper extends theories relating to resource complementarity and suggests that a resource complementarity framework can be applied in relationships other than alliances. Practical implications – This paper suggests when incorporation of supplier resources is possible to implement and when it is likely to succeed. Originality/value – This paper uses a contingency perspective to explore supplier integration and targets individual buyer-supplier relationships. It uses a dyadic perspective and considers how supplier integration affects the dyad, rather than only the buyer.

In the present research, authors examine Turkish market entry opportunities for three leading dairy companies in Lithuania. This study focuses on evaluating firms’ export performance opportunities and combining them with selected export market potential factors. For this purpose, the case-study method was used through personal interviews with export managers of three leading Lithuanian dairy companies in 2016, conducted in order to determine the factors affecting their Turkish market entry. Using a cross-case analysis, comparisons were made between different companies’ entry opportunities. According to the results, Lithuanian dairy companies can be described as being passive about the Turkish market. Its market protection politics, implemented by the Turkish government, could be named among the main reasons. From the first sight, this fact makes the Turkish market unattractive for European dairy producers. However, the study shows that, after doing some more detailed market research, new potential opportunities can appear.

AbstractThis Research examine about transformation design in skin-based products so that products can compete at the international level. This research has an initial stage which is to identify the potential factors of the archipelago and the potential factors of MSMEs from the case study place that is Javalore. Then using the ATUMICS approach the traditional transformation process, which combines the potential elements of the local wisdom of the archipelago with Javalore leather products, then produces a draft concept of innovation in leather products. The process of design sketching, to digitizing and making prototype products, in the next stage will be conducted market tests and product feasibility tests. This research method uses descriptive qualitative in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification Product is analyzed to obtain an ideal arrangement of the six basic elements, namely technique, utillity, material, icon, concept, and shape. Macro level is related to broader aspects, namely philosophical values and the meaning of the local wisdom of the archipelago. Adaptation of elements of the local wisdom of the archipelago into Javalore leather products, namely into the functional and aesthetic elements as product innovations that are able to increase the potential or competitiveness of products. The output of the research results from this transforming tradition is a product of skin innovation. Market test results state that products from Javalore can increase market interest by up to 55% (fifty-five percent) and expand market segments by using market mergers. Research also shows that consumers tend to have an interest in products that have a preference for gender, the higher the level of gender identity in a product appears, the easier it is for consumers to be attracted.. Keywords: transforming tradition, innovation, creative economy.
