The complete genome sequence of 6.45 Mb is reported here for Pseudomonas trivialis strain IHBB745 (MTCC 5336), which is an efficient, stress-tolerant, and broad-spectrum plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium. The gene-coding clusters predicted the genes for phosphate solubilization, siderophore production, 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) deaminase activity, indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) production, and stress response.

Strain E19T described as Hartmannibacter diazotrophicus gen. nov. sp. nov. was isolated from the rhizosphere of Plantago winteri from a natural salt meadow in a nature protection area. Strain E19T is a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium able to colonize the rhizosphere of barley and to promote its growth only under salt stress conditions. To gain insights into the genetic bases of plant growth promotion and its lifestyle at the rhizosphere under salty conditions, we determined the complete genome sequence using two complementary sequencing platforms (Ilumina MiSeq and PacBio RSII). The E19T genome comprises one circular chromosome and one plasmid containing several genes involved in salt adaptation and genes related to plant growth-promoting traits under salt stress. Based on previous experiments, ACC deaminase activity was identified as a main mechanism of E19T to promote plant growth under salt stress. Interestingly, no genes classically reported to encode for ACC deaminase activity are present. In general, the E19T genome provides information to confirm, discover, and better understand many of its previously evaluated traits involved in plant growth promotion under salt stress. Furthermore, the complete E19T genome sequence helps to define its previously reported unclear 16S rRNA gene-based phylogenetic affiliation. Hartmannibacter forms a distinct subcluster with genera Methylobrevis, Pleomorphomonas, Oharaeibacter, and Mongoliimonas subclustered with genera belonging to Rhizobiales.

Bacillus sp. strain WR11 isolated from the root of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) possesses abiotic stress alleviating properties and produces several types of enzymes. However, its genomic information is lacking. The study described the complete genome sequence of the bacterium. The size of the genome was 4 202 080 base pairs that consisted of 4 405 genes in total. The G+C content of the circular genome was 43.53% and there were 4 170 coding genes, 114 pseudo genes, 30 ribosome RNAs, 86 tRNAs, and 5 ncRNAs, based on the Prokaryotic Genome Annotation Pipeline (PGAP). Many genes were related to the stress-alleviating properties and 124 genes existed in the CAZy database. The complete genome data of strain WR11 will provide valuable resources for genetic dissection of its plant growth-promoting function and symbiotic interaction with plant.

ABSTRACT Here, we present a complete circular genome (5.4 Mb) and a plasmid (104,972 bp) of the plant growth-promoting bacterium Phytobacter diazotrophicus strain UAEU22, isolated from date palm rhizosphere in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Annotation of the genome resulted in 5,229 predicted genes.
