ABSTRACT Pantoea ananatis is a Gram-negative plant pathogen that causes disease on a broad range of host plants, including pineapple, maize, rice, onion, melons, and Eucalyptus, and has been implicated in several cases of human disease. Here, we report the genome sequence of P. ananatis LMG20103 isolated from diseased Eucalyptus in South Africa.

Here we present the complete genome sequence ofBartonella ancashensisstrain 20.00, isolated from the blood of a Peruvian patient with verruga peruana, known as Carrion’s disease.Bartonella ancashensisis a Gram-negative bacillus, phylogenetically most similar toBartonella bacilliformis, the causative agent of Oroya fever and verruga peruana.

Taylorella equigenitalis is the causative agent of contagious equine metritis (CEM), a sexually transmitted infection of horses. We report here the genome sequence of T. equigenitalis strain ERC_G2224, isolated in 2015 from a semen sample collected in 1996 from a Lipizzaner stallion in South Africa.

ABSTRACT Campylobacter fetus subsp. venerealis is the causative agent of bovine genital campylobacteriosis, which is mostly characterized by reproduction problems. The strain reported in this study was isolated from bull sheath wash in South Africa.

Novosphingobium malaysiense strain MUSC 273T is a recently identified Gram-negative, aerobic alpha-proteobacterium. The strain was isolated from intertidal soil with strong catalase activity. The genome sequence comprises 5,027,021 bp, with 50 tRNA and 3 rRNA genes. Further analysis identified presence of secondary metabolite gene clusters within genome of MUSC 273T. Knowledge of the genomic features of the strain may allow further biotechnological exploitation, particularly for production of secondary metabolites as well as production of industrially important enzymes
