Rhizosphere bacteria are considered to be promising destructors of oil and its components. Bacterial species of the genus Rhodococcus can degrade a variety of hydrocarbons and are widely used for the bioremediation of polluted environments. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Rhodococcus qingshengii strain VKM Ac-2784D.

Deinococcus grandis is a radioresistant bacterial species isolated from freshwater fish. In this article, we report the complete genome sequence of D. grandis strain ATCC 43672. This sequence is useful for comparative genomics to understand the traits of Deinococcus species and can be used as a reference in experimental genetics.

Halomonas axialensis is a halophilic bacterial species discovered near a deep-sea hydrothermal vent. Here, we report the first single closed genome sequence of the original strain, Halomonas axialensis strain Althf1. The genome was assembled by Nanopore sequencing and consisted of a single chromosome of 3.6 Mbp with 56.8% G+C content.

ABSTRACT Blochmannia endosymbionts, belonging to Gammaproteobacteria, live in bacteriocytes, which are specialized cells for these bacterial species in the Camponotus genus (carpenter ants). In this announcement, we describe the complete genome sequence of the Blochmannia endosymbiont of Camponotus nipponensis, which originated from a C. nipponensis colony collected in the Republic of Korea.

Malassezia restricta, one of the predominant basidiomycetous yeasts present on human skin, is involved in scalp disorders. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the lipophilic Malassezia restricta CBS 7877 strain, which will facilitate the study of the mechanisms underlying its commensal and pathogenic roles within the skin microbiome.

Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is an emerging opportunistic human pathogen. In this report, we describe the isolation and genomic annotation of the S. maltophilia-infecting bacteriophage Mendera. A myophage of 159,961 base pairs, Mendera is T4-like and related most closely to Stenotrophomonas phage IME-SM1.

ABSTRACT Mycobacterium chimaera is a nontuberculous mycobacterium species commonly found in the environment. Here, we report the first complete genome sequence of a strain from the investigation of invasive infections following open-heart surgeries that used contaminated LivaNova Sorin Stockert 3T heater-cooler devices.

ABSTRACT Here we report the complete genome sequence of Streptococcus agalactiae strain 874391. This serotype III isolate is a member of the hypervirulent sequence type 17 (ST-17) lineage that causes a disproportionate number of cases of invasive disease in humans and mammals. A brief historical context of the strain is discussed.

Bacillus subtilis WB800N is a genetically engineered variant of B. subtilis 168, such that all extracellular proteases are disrupted, which enables WB800N to be widely used for the expression of secretory proteins. Here, we report the 4.2-Mb complete genome sequence of WB800N and present all of the disrupted gene structure.
