We report the complete genome sequence of Lactobacillus helveticus JCM 1004, an aminopeptidase-producing lactic acid bacterium. The genome consists of a circular chromosome which comprises 2,261,280 bp, with a G+C content of 37.56%. The genome was predicted to harbor 13 rRNA genes, 64 tRNA genes, and 2,462 protein-coding sequences.

ABSTRACT Lactobacillus acidipiscis is a Gram-positive lactic acid bacterium belonging to the Lactobacillus salivarius clade. Here, we present the first complete genome sequence of L. acidipiscis isolated from traditional Greek Kopanisti cheese. Strain ACA-DC 1533 may play a key role in the strong organoleptic characteristics of Kopanisti cheese.

ABSTRACT Lactococcus lactis is a lactic acid bacterium used in the production of many fermented dairy products. We report the complete genome sequence of L. lactis subsp. lactis KF147, a nondairy strain isolated from mung bean sprouts. The circular chromosome of 2,598,144 bp, the largest among the sequenced lactococcal strains, encodes many properties related to adaptation to the plant environment.

ABSTRACT Lactococcus piscium CNCM I-4031 is a psychotrophic foodborne lactic acid bacterium showing potential interest for the biopreservation of seafood products due to its inhibition properties toward pathogenic and spoilage bacteria. The analysis of its genome will provide a better understanding of the mechanisms of interaction between these bacteria.

We report here the complete genome sequence of Latilactobacillus sp. strain WDN19, isolated from a Japanese pickle. This strain can produce a large amount of d- aspartate in the culture broth. The genome consists of a circular chromosome (1,967,462 bp; GC content, 41.88%) and a circular plasmid (66,648 bp; GC content, 35.08%).

ABSTRACT Streptococcus thermophilus strain B59671 is a Gram-positive lactic acid bacterium that naturally produces a broad-spectrum bacteriocin, thermophilin 110, and is capable of producing gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). The complete genome sequence for this strain contains 1,821,173 nucleotides, 1,936 predicted genes, and an average G+C content of 39.1%.

Lactobacillus brevis strain 100D8 was isolated from rye silage and showed rapid acidification ability in vitro and antifungal activity against mycotoxin-producing fungi. We report here the complete genome sequence of L. brevis strain 100D8, which has a circular chromosome (2,351,988 bp, 2,304 coding sequences [CDSs]) and three plasmids (45,061 bp, 57 CDSs; 40,740 bp, 40 CDSs; and 39,943 bp, 57 CDSs).
