Rhodomicrobium sp. strain Az07 was isolated from a brackish canal. The organism is more halotolerant than previously described species of the genus Rhodomicrobium . The Illumina MiSeq system was used to sequence the genome of the isolated strain. The assembly contains 3,291,400 bp, 106 contigs, and a GC content of 62.7%.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the aerobic anoxygenic phototrophic bacterium Roseobacter sp. strain OBYS 0001, isolated from coastal seawater in Ostuchi Bay, Japan. This genome sequence could be useful for our understanding of the variation in photosynthesis-related genes among aerobic anoxygenic phototrophs.

We report here the draft genome sequence of the thermophilic filamentous anoxygenic phototrophic bacterium Chloroflexus sp. strain isl-2, which was isolated from the Strokkur geyser, Iceland, and contains 5,222,563 bp with a G+C content of 59.65%. The annotated genome sequence offers the genetic basis for understanding the strain’s ecological role as a phototrophic bacterium within the bacterial community.

ABSTRACT Phaeospirillum fulvum MGU-K5 is an anoxygenic, purple, photoheterotrophic, nonsulfur alphaproteobacterium. Unlike most purple nonsulfur bacteria, MGU-K5 is unable to grow aerobically under chemoorganotrophic conditions. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of P. fulvum to provide insights into its physiology.

ABSTRACT Ligilactobacillus salivarius TUCO-L2 was isolated from llama milk in Bio-Bio, Chile, and sequenced with the Illumina MiSeq platform. TUCO-L2 genome sequencing revealed a genome size of 1,600,747 bp with 1,691 protein-coding genes and a GC content of 33%. This draft genome sequence will contribute to a better understanding of the microbiome of llama milk.

This report describes the draft genome sequence of Lactobacillus brevis TUCO-5E, a probiotic strain isolated from porcine maternal milk. The reads were generated by a whole-genome sequencing (WGS) strategy on an Illumina MiSeq sequencer and were assembled into contigs with a total estimated size of 2,461,089 bp.

This study reports the draft genome sequence of the endophytic Streptomyces cavourensis strain YBQ59, produces the antibiotics bafilomycin D, nonactic acid, prelactone B, and 5,11-epoxy-10-cadinanol. The draft genome sequence comprises ∼10.2 Mb, with a GC content of 64% and 8,958 predicted protein-coding genes, of which 14 gene clusters were found to associate with antibiotic biosynthetic pathways.

ABSTRACT In 2003, Streptomyces mexicanus was reported as a novel xylanolytic bacterial species isolated from soil; a partial genome sequence was determined. In 2019, a strain from the same species was isolated from a hand skin swab sample from a healthy French woman. Genome sequencing revealed an 8,011,832-bp sequence with a GC content of 72.5%.
