We report the draft genome sequence of an anoxygenic phototrophic bacterium,
Rhodoferax
sp. strain U11-2br, which was isolated from a freshwater mountain lake on the Ulagan Plateau (Altai, Russia). The assembly contains 4,514,979 bp, with a GC content of 59.9%.
Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the aerobic anoxygenic phototrophic bacterium
Roseobacter
sp. strain OBYS 0001, isolated from coastal seawater in Ostuchi Bay, Japan. This genome sequence could be useful for our understanding of the variation in photosynthesis-related genes among aerobic anoxygenic phototrophs.
We report here the draft genome sequence of the thermophilic filamentous anoxygenic phototrophic bacterium
Chloroflexus
sp. strain isl-2, which was isolated from the Strokkur geyser, Iceland, and contains 5,222,563 bp with a G+C content of 59.65%. The annotated genome sequence offers the genetic basis for understanding the strain’s ecological role as a phototrophic bacterium within the bacterial community.
ABSTRACT
Phaeospirillum fulvum MGU-K5 is an anoxygenic, purple, photoheterotrophic, nonsulfur alphaproteobacterium. Unlike most purple nonsulfur bacteria, MGU-K5 is unable to grow aerobically under chemoorganotrophic conditions. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of P. fulvum to provide insights into its physiology.
Rhodomicrobium
sp. strain Az07 was isolated from a brackish canal. The organism is more halotolerant than previously described species of the genus
Rhodomicrobium
. The Illumina MiSeq system was used to sequence the genome of the isolated strain. The assembly contains 3,291,400 bp, 106 contigs, and a GC content of 62.7%.
ABSTRACT
Citromicrobium bathyomarinum is a bacteriochlorophyll a-containing aerobic anoxygenic phototrophic bacterium. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of C. bathyomarinum JL354, which was the first C. bathyomarinum strain isolated from a euphotic marine environment. The JL354 genome sequence reveals, for the first time, the coexistence of two different photosynthetic operons in a single strain.
ABSTRACT
We report here the metagenome-assembled draft genome of an uncultured filamentous anoxygenic phototroph of the phylum Chloroflexota (formerly Chloroflexi), “Candidatus Roseilinea sp. strain NK_OTU-006,” recovered from hot spring-associated microbial mats. The 3.6-Mb genome is estimated to be 94% complete and comprises 117 contigs encoding 3,203 predicted genes, including a full-length rRNA operon.
Trebouxiophyceae sp. KSI-1 is a green alga isolated from a seashore hot spring on Satsuma Iōjima in Kagoshima, Japan, and is highly tolerant to oxidative stress.
