ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Bacillus pumilus GM3FR, an endophytic bacterium isolated from aerial plant tissues of Festuca rubra L. The draft genome consists of 3.5 Mb and harbors 3,551 predicted protein-encoding genes. The genome provides insights into the biocontrol potential of B. pumilus GM3FR.

ABSTRACT The genus Bradyrhizobium comprises bacteria with the ability to form nitrogen-fixing symbioses with legumes. They are of great interest in agriculture, as well as for the production of biopolymers such as polyhydroxyalkanoates. Here, we report the draft genome assembly of Bradyrhizobium elkanii TnphoA 33 comprising 9 Mb, 1,124 contigs, and 9,418 open reading frames.

ABSTRACT Variovorax paradoxus KB5, isolated from the inside of Arabidopsis thaliana leaves, showed antibacterial activity against the phytopathogen Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000. Here, we report a draft genome sequence of V. paradoxus KB5, which contains a delftibactin-like nonribosomal peptide biosynthetic gene cluster.

Due to its high capacity for nitrogen fixation, strain SEMIA 938 is used in commercial inoculants for lupins in Brazil. Its genome was estimated at 8,780,064 bp and indicates that it belongs to the Bradyrhizobium elkanii species, while the analysis of nodulation genes classifies the strain in the symbiovar sojae.

ABSTRACT Frankia sp. strain BMG5.11, which was isolated from Elaeagnus angustifolia nodules, is able to infect other actinorhizal plants, including Elaeagnaceae, Rhamnaceae, Colletieae, Gymnostoma, and Myricaceae. Here, we report the 11.3-Mbp draft genome sequence of Frankia sp. strain BMG5.11, with a G+C content of 69.9% and 9,926 candidate protein-encoding genes.

Kosakonia radicincitas UYSO10 is an endophytic bacterium that was isolated from stem tissues of Saccharum officinarum plants cultivated in Uruguay. UYSO10 is a diazotrophic indoleacetic acid-producing bacterium with growth-promoting effects on sugarcane. Here, we report the draft genome sequence, in which genes that are probably involved in the plant-bacterium interaction were identified.

The draft genome sequence of Raphidiopsis (Cylindrospermopsis) raciborskii strain GIHE 2018, a filamentous nitrogen-fixing and potentially harmful cyanobacterium, is reported here. This is the first strain isolated from a shallow freshwater pond in South Korea. This information is expected to improve our understanding of the phylogeography of this species.
