Here, we describe the complete genome of Methanothermobacter sp. strain KEPCO-1, a thermophilic and hydrogenotrophic methanogen that was isolated from an anaerobic digester in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The genome of KEPCO-1 shares 96.98% of its sequence with Methanothermobacter marburgensis strain DSM 2133 and consists of 1,741,029 bp, with 1,822 protein-coding genes, 44 noncoding RNAs, and a GC content of 48.47%. The development of this genome will facilitate future genomic studies of KEPCO-1.

This study reports the draft genome sequence of the endophytic Streptomyces cavourensis strain YBQ59, produces the antibiotics bafilomycin D, nonactic acid, prelactone B, and 5,11-epoxy-10-cadinanol. The draft genome sequence comprises ∼10.2 Mb, with a GC content of 64% and 8,958 predicted protein-coding genes, of which 14 gene clusters were found to associate with antibiotic biosynthetic pathways.

We present the draft genome sequence of a Streptococcus anginosus strain isolated from the female urinary tract. The S. anginosus UMB1296 draft genome has a size of 1,924,009 bp assembled into 35 contigs with a GC content of 38.69%. Genome annotation revealed 1,775 protein-coding genes, including several known virulence factors.

ABSTRACT Vibrio natriegens is a naturally occurring marine bacterium that is emerging as a microbiological model system. Here, we describe Aquatic Killer 99 (AQKL99), a novel phage that infects Vibrio natriegens 14048. The genome of the phage is 58,464 bp long, has a GC content of 45.9%, and contains 51 protein-coding genes.

VanLee is a singleton phage that was isolated from soil in Florida using Gordonia rubripertincta NRRL B-16540 as the host. The genome is 84,560 bp and has a GC content of 67.8%. VanLee has 164 predicted protein-coding genes and one tRNA. VanLee can infect Gordonia terrae with the same efficiency as G. rubripertincta .
