ABSTRACT Acetobacter aceti is used in industry to produce vinegar by converting ethanol into acetic acid. We determined the complete genome sequence of A. aceti JCM20276, which is composed of one chromosome and four plasmids. This study may contribute to a better understanding of the genes necessary for acetic acid production.

ABSTRACT Vibrio vulnificus has the highest death rate and economic burden per case of any foodborne pathogen in the United States. A complete genome sequence of the type strain promotes comparative analyses with other clinical and environmental isolates, improving our understanding of this important human pathogen and successful environmental organism.

Arcobacter skirrowii is a species of veterinary importance, originally recovered from the feces, aborted fetuses, and preputial fluids of livestock. We present here the whole-genome sequence of the A. skirrowii type strain LMG 6621 (= 449/80T = CCUG 10374T), isolated in the United Kingdom from a lamb diarrheal fecal sample.
