ABSTRACT Vibrio vulnificus has the highest death rate and economic burden per case of any foodborne pathogen in the United States. A complete genome sequence of the type strain promotes comparative analyses with other clinical and environmental isolates, improving our understanding of this important human pathogen and successful environmental organism.

Arcobacter skirrowii is a species of veterinary importance, originally recovered from the feces, aborted fetuses, and preputial fluids of livestock. We present here the whole-genome sequence of the A. skirrowii type strain LMG 6621 (= 449/80T = CCUG 10374T), isolated in the United Kingdom from a lamb diarrheal fecal sample.

Multiple Arcobacter species have been recovered from fresh and contaminated waters, marine environments, and shellfish. Arcobacter mytili was recovered in 2006 from mussels collected from the Ebro River delta in Catalonia, Spain.

ABSTRACT Acinetobacter indicus (Gammaproteobacteria) is a strict aerobic nonmotile bacterium. The strain SGAir0564 was isolated from air samples collected in Singapore. The complete genome is 3.1 Mb and was assembled using a combination of short and long reads. The genome contains 2,808 protein-coding genes, 80 tRNAs, and 21 rRNA subunits.

Here, we report the first complete genome sequence of the potential deoxynivalenol-degrading strain Youhaiella tibetensis F4T (China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center [CGMCC] 1.12719T). To the best of our knowledge, this is also the first announcement of the complete genome sequence of a Youhaiella species.

ABSTRACT The first complete genome sequence of a recently described Salinicola tamaricis species was determined for the strain F01T (=CCTCC AB 2015304T =KCTC 42855T). The strain was isolated from the leaves of wetland plant Tamarix chinensis Lour and shows a high tolerance to heavy metals, such as manganese, nickel, lead, and copper ions.

ABSTRACT The formation of spore-filled fruiting bodies in response to starvation represents a hallmark of many members of the order Myxococcales. Here, we present the complete 9.9-Mb genome of the fruiting type strain Melittangium boletus DSM 14713, the first member of this genus to have its genome sequenced.

ABSTRACT Campylobacter avium is a thermotolerant Campylobacter species that has been isolated from poultry. C. avium was also the second hippuricase-positive species to be identified within Campylobacter. Here, we present the genome sequence of the C. avium type strain LMG 24591 (=CCUG 56292T), isolated in 2006 from a broiler chicken in Italy.

ABSTRACT We report the complete genome sequence of the Campylobacter concisus type strain ATCC 33237 and the draft genome sequences of eight additional well-characterized C. concisus strains. C. concisus has been shown to be a genetically heterogeneous species, and these nine genomes provide valuable information regarding the diversity within this taxon.

We report the complete genome sequence and base modification analysis of the Shewanella algae type strain CECT 5071 (= OK-1 = ATCC 51192 = DSM 9167 = IAM 14159). The genome is composed of a single chromosome of 4,924,764 bp, with a GC content of 53.10%.
