This paper considers 12 Hygrophorus species collected in Nova Scotia during 1967–68, stressing differences from previously published descriptions and presenting additional data. Of these, 10 are first records for the province. Four of the 10 are being reported for the first time in Canada, and 2 have been previously collected in Nova Scotia but referred to other species. One species, although previously recorded, is included because of significant differences from earlier accounts. One new species, H. murinus, is described.

Recent studies in the mycological herbarium at Acadia University confirm previous reports and present additional data on the family Geoglossaceae occurring in Nova Scotia. This paper presents a key and detailed drawings of anatomical structures of 26 species in several genera of this family found in Nova Scotia, It is shown that one species name is being applied to species that are in different genera. One new species, Microglossum olivaceisquamulosum is described.

Eight species of Amanita collected in Nova Scotia are compared macroscopically and microscopically with previously published descriptions and some new data are given. Of these eight, five species and one variety are recorded from the province for the first time, and two (Amanita macrospora and A. solaniolens) are described as new species.

As a result of study of 18 samples, collected in Lake Teletskoye and inflowing rivers in 1992–1995, 34 diatom species of the genus Navicula Bory were found. Among them 21 taxa are new for the studied region, 7 species (Navicula arkona, N. hangaica, N. cf. pseudoreinhardtii, N. ricardae, N. scaniae, N. schweigeri, N. suecicarum) are recorded for the first time in Russia. One new species (N. pseudoharmoniae sp. nov.) is described. It is compared with N. harmoniae and N. digitoconvergens.

Within the Asiatic tiger beetle fauna, Parmecus Motschulsky, 1864 stat. rest., stat. nov., is reestablished as a subgenus of Cylindera Westwood, 1831 with Cylindera (Parmecus) dromicoides (Chaudoir, 1852), as its type species, and the lectotype and paralectotypes of Cicindela dromicoides Chaudoir, 1852 are designated as well. Two other species are included, Cylindera (Parmecus) armandi (Fairmaire, 1886), from the Himalayan Region, and Cylindera (Parmecus) mosuoa, sp. nov., from Yunnan, China. Cylindera (Parmecus) as a subgenus is characterized, a key to identify its species is provided, and its species composition is discussed. Cylindera (Parmecus) dromicoides (Chaudoir, 1852) is newly recorded from Pakistan and the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, while Cylindera (Parmecus) armandi (Fairmaire, 1886) is recorded for the first time from the Chinese province of Sichuan. The records of C. armandi from Bhutan, as well as C. dromicoides from Yunnan Province (China) are rejected due to erroneous identifications.

Five Sinopoda species in the okinawana-group including one new species from central and south-western China are treated in the current paper: S. cochlearia Zhang, Zhang & Zhang, 2015, S. fasciculata Jäger, Gao & Fei, 2002, S. guangyuanensis sp. nov., S. hamata (Fox, 1937) and S. wangi Song & Zhu, 1999. The female of S. fasciculata is described for the first time. New province records are provided as well as photos of copulatory organs and habitus.

AbstractThe species of Synophromorpha Ashmead (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae) are reviewed. One new species is described (Synophromorpha kaulbarsi; type locality: Naupan, Puebla, Mexico). The previously described species (S. rubi Weld, S. sylvestris (O.S.), and S. terricola Weld) are redescribed, and a key to species is presented. All species are illustrated for the first time. Synophromorpha sylvestris is designated type-species for the genus and a lectotype is chosen. Hypotheses on the phylogenetic relationships between the species of Synophromorpha are presented.

Eight species in the Priocnemis hyalinata species-group are reviewed. The species-group is recorded from Oriental Region for the first time, and one new species, Priocnemis (Priocnemis) yunnanensis Loktionov, Lelej & Xu, sp. nov. (China: Yunnan) is described and illustrated. The lectotype of Salius (Priocnemis) unicolor Gussakovskij is designated. The distribution of P. (P.) hyalinata (Fabricius), P. (P.) fennica Haupt and P. (P.) unicolor (Gussakovskij) is clarified and enlarged within Russia. Keys to species for males and females are given.

Two New Families and a New Species of Myxosporeans (Myxozoa, Myxosporea) of the Mediterranean and Black Sea FishesDescriptions of two new families — Polysporoplasmidae fam. n. (Syn. Sphaerosporidae Davis, 1917 in Sitja-Bobadilla, Alvarez-Pellitero, 1995) and Gadimyxidae fam. n. (syn. Parvicapsulidae Schulman, 1953 in Kie et al., 2007), and one new species of myxosporeans —Gadimyxa ovalesp. n. — parasites of fishes of the Mediterranean and the Black Seas are presented. Species of the genus Gadimyxa is found for the first time in the Black Sea.

One new species of the subgenus Eriocera Macquart,1838, Hexatoma (Eriocera) xizangensissp. nov. is described and illustrated from Xizang, China. The following four species are re-described and reported from Xizang for the first time: H. (E.) latigrisea Alexander, 1971, H. (E.) nepalensis (Westwood, 1836), H. (E.) paragnava Alexander, 1973 and H. (E.) perhirsuta Alexander, 1973. A key to the species of Eriocera from Xizang is presented.
