Bipolar charge carrier transport in amorphous molecular solid solution of arylamine and diphenoquinone derivatives
Keyword(s):
Amorphous molecular composites of N,N,N′,N′-tetra(m-tolyl)-1,3-diaminobenzene as an electron donor and 3,5-dimethyl-3′,5′-di-tert-butyl-4,4′-diphenoquinone as an electron acceptor have been found to be capable of transporting both hole and electron. Based on drift mobility measurements, it is demonstrated that the donor and acceptor components function independently as hole- and electron-hopping sites, respectively, with no electronic interaction between them. Key words: bipolar charge transport, arylamine, diphenoquinone, molecular solid solution.
