We report the results of investigation of dielectric spectroscopy study of single crystals of [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] doped with Co nanoparticles. The complex dielectric constant was measured in the temperature interval from 5 to 450 K and frequencies from 1 Hz to 1 MHz. The electrical conductivity of both samples was thermally activated with potential barriers of 0.55 eV and 0.59 eV, respectively. Doped samples had bigger complex dielectric constants and [Formula: see text] exhibited slightly steeper temperature dependence than in the pure sample. The dielectric relaxation was observed in pure and doped single crystals and relaxation frequencies showed similar activation energies as electrical conductivities.

Velocity of bulk acoustic waves in base and rotated cuts have been measured by the ultrasonic pulse-echo method and values of CE ijkl and eijk in single crystals YAl3(BO3)4 have been calculated. The value of dijk piezoelectric modulus of these single crystals have been determined by quasistatic measurements, and " ij dielectric constants have been determined by the flat capacitor method. Experimental values of material constants have been applied for the study of anisotropy of acoustic waves characteristics in single crystals YAl3(BO3)4

In this paper we report a dielectric study on four single crystals Pb2P2S6, (Pb0.98Ge0.02)2P2S6, (Pb0.7Sn0.3)2P2S6 + 5% Ge and (Pb0.7Sn0.3)2P2Se6 + 5% Ge down to 20 K. A new quantum paraelectric state was reported in the Ge-doped samples at low temperatures. In all of these materials the non-classical T2 temperature dependences of inverse dielectric permittivity were observed. The dielectric constants of Pb2P2S6-based single crystals were measured between 20 and 300 K. The temperature dependences of dielectric permittivity were analysed on the basis of Barrett’s model as a signature of quantum paraelectricity.
