Soft set theory is a newly emerging mathematical tool to deal with uncertain problems. In this paper, by introducing a generalization parameter, which itself is trapezoidal fuzzy, we define generalized trapezoidal fuzzy soft sets and then study some of their properties. Finally, applications of generalized trapezoidal fuzzy soft sets in a decision making problem and medical diagnosis problem are shown.

Possibility intuitionistic fuzzy soft set and its operations are introduced, and a few of their properties are studied. An application of possibility intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets in decision making is investigated. A similarity measure of two possibility intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets has been discussed. An application of this similarity measure in medical diagnosis has been shown.

The research of incomplete fuzzy soft sets is of paramount importance in fuzzy soft sets, where the combination of incomplete fuzzy soft set and decision-making problem is of great significance. Incomplete information in fuzzy soft sets leads to more uncertainty and ambiguity in decision-making. The focus of this paper to propose an algorithm of fuzzy soft set based decision-making problems under incomplete information. On the basis of the weighted function, we introduce the notions of weighted incomplete soft sets and weighted incomplete fuzzy soft sets, and show an approach to weighted incomplete fuzzy soft sets for dealing with decision-making. Considering the missing weight function, the concept of incomplete weighted fuzzy soft sets is presented. Meanwhile, we apply the incomplete weighted fuzzy soft sets to solve the decision-making problem. As modal-style operators for fuzzy soft sets have a precise description of attributes possessed by objects, we apply modal-style operator for incomplete fuzzy soft set to deal with decision-making and propose a new algorithm to make it more accurate and simple.

By combining the interval-valued hesitant fuzzy set and soft set models, the purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of interval-valued hesitant fuzzy soft sets. Further, some operations on the interval-valued hesitant fuzzy soft sets are investigated, such as complement, “AND,” “OR,” ring sum, and ring product operations. Then, by means of reduct interval-valued fuzzy soft sets and level hesitant fuzzy soft sets, we present an adjustable approach to interval-valued hesitant fuzzy soft sets based on decision making and some numerical examples are provided to illustrate the developed approach. Finally, the weighted interval-valued hesitant fuzzy soft set is also introduced and its application in decision making problem is shown.

Maji et al. introduced the concept of fuzzy soft sets as a generalization of the standard soft sets, and presented an application of fuzzy soft sets in a decision-making problem. Maji et al. also introduced the notion of intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets in the paper [P.K. Maji, R. Biswas and A.R. Roy, Intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets, The Journal of Fuzzy Mathematics, 9 (2001), no. 3, 677–692]. The aim of this manuscript is to apply the notion of intuitionistic fuzzy soft set to hyper BCK algebras. The notions of intuitionistic fuzzy soft hyper BCK ideal, intuitionistic fuzzy soft weak hyper BCK ideal, intuitionistic fuzzy soft s-weak hyper BCK-ideal and intuitionistic fuzzy soft strong hyper BCK-ideal are introduced, and related properties and relations are investigated. Characterizations of intuitionistic fuzzy soft (weak) hyper BCK ideal are considered. Conditions for an intuitionistic fuzzy soft weak hyper BCK ideal to be an intuitionistic fuzzy soft s-weak hyper BCK ideal are provided. Conditions for an intuitionistic fuzzy soft set to be an intuitionistic fuzzy soft strong hyper BCK ideal are given.

This article describes how recently, a paper by D. Ezhilmaran and K. Sankar called Morphism of bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy graphs, has introduced bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy sets and morphism of bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy graphs. By using this concept, the authors of this article have combined a bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy set and a soft set. They introduce the notion of bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy soft set and study their basic properties. Also, presented in this article are the basic operations on bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets, extended unions, and the intersection of two bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets. An application of bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy soft set provides into a decision-making problem and a general algorithm to solve this decision making problem.

As a link between classical soft sets and hesitant fuzzy sets, the notion of hesitant fuzzy soft sets is introduced and applied to a decision making problem in the papers by Babitha and John (2013) and Wang et al. (2014). The aim of this paper is to apply hesitant fuzzy soft set for dealing with several kinds of theories inBCK/BCI-algebras. The notions of hesitant fuzzy soft subalgebras and (closed) hesitant fuzzy soft ideals are introduced, and related properties are investigated. Relations between a hesitant fuzzy soft subalgebra and a (closed) hesitant fuzzy soft ideal are discussed. Conditions for a hesitant fuzzy soft set to be a hesitant fuzzy soft subalgebra are given, and conditions for a hesitant fuzzy soft subalgebra to be a hesitant fuzzy soft ideal are provided. Characterizations of a (closed) hesitant fuzzy soft ideal are considered.

Many effective tools in fuzzy soft set theory have been proposed to handle various complicated problems in different fields of our real life, especially in decision making. Molodtsov’s soft set theory has been regarded as a newly emerging mathematical tool to deal with uncertainty and vagueness. Lattice ordered multi-fuzzy soft set (LMFSS) has been applied in forecasting process. However, similarity measure is not used in this application. In our research, similarity measure of LMFSS is proposed to calculate the similarity between two LMFSSs. Moreover, some of its properties are introduced and proved. Finally, an application of LMFSS in decision making using similarity measure is analysed.

Mass Media is the 3rd largest emerging industry of Pakistan. It involves so many decision making in regard to selection of shows, anchors, lighting and technical equipment. The problem becomes ambiguous as most of the channel owners are investors and seldom know about the complications and technicalities of this industry. Solutions given by fuzzy structures in different areas has provoked us to find their applications in the nexus of Mass Media. In this paper, we will present two problems which harnesses fuzzy soft set techniques and algorithm to come in to play for solving mass media decision making problem.
