The main result in this paper is to prove, in Bourgain type spaces, the existence of unique local solution to system of initial value problem described by integrable equations of modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) by using linear and trilinear estimates, together with contraction mapping principle. Moreover, owing to the approximate conservation law, we prove the existence of global solution.

Studies of modified Korteweg-de Vries-type equations are of considerable mathematical interest due to the importance of their applications in various branches of mechanics and physics. In this article, using trilinear estimate in Bourgain spaces, we show the local well-posedness of the initial value problem associated with a coupled system consisting of modified Korteweg-de Vries equations for given data. Furthermore, we prove that the unique solution belongs to Gevrey space G σ × G σ in x and G 3 σ × G 3 σ in t. This article is a continuation of recent studies reflected.

We investigate the initial value problem for a defocusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation with exponential nonlinearity [Formula: see text] We identify subcritical, critical, and supercritical regimes in the energy space. We establish global well-posedness in the subcritical and critical regimes. Well-posedness fails to hold in the supercritical case.

This paper presents the optimality of decay estimate of solutions to the initial value problem of 1D Schrödinger equations containing a long-range dissipative nonlinearity, i.e., λ | u | 2 u. Our aim is to obtain the two results. One asserts that, if the L 2 -norm of a global solution, with an initial datum in the weighted Sobolev space, decays at the rate more rapid than ( log t ) − 1 / 2 , then it must be a trivial solution. The other asserts that there exists a solution decaying just at the rate of ( log t ) − 1 / 2 in L 2 .

We consider the Cauchy problem for the damped nonlinear hyperbolic equation inn-dimensional space. Under small condition on the initial value, the global existence and asymptotic behavior of the solution in the corresponding Sobolev spaces are obtained by the contraction mapping principle.

We discuss the Cauchy problem and the junction conditions within the framework of f ( R ) -gravity with torsion. We derive sufficient conditions to ensure the well-posedness of the initial value problem, as well as general conditions to join together on a given hypersurface two different solutions of the field equations. The stated results can be useful to distinguish viable from nonviable f ( R ) -models with torsion.
