Habenaria luquanensis from Yunnan Province is described and illustrated. This new species most closely resembles H. delavayi in having a basal leaf rosette, flowers with a concave and abaxially keeled dorsal sepal and linear petals. It is distinguished by herbaceous, loosely arranged rosette leaves (versus tightly adpressed to each other), a lip which is 3-lobed only to 1/3–1/4 from the base and has narrowly oblong lateral lobes (versus deeply 3-lobed nearly to the base with linear-cuneate lateral lobes). Another similar species is H. finetiana, but this species can be distinguished by its cauline leaves, longer floral bracts, petals forming a hood with the dorsal sepal, a lip which is 3-lobed only in the upper half and  rhombic, serrate lateral lobes, a spur which is nearly as long as the ovary, and central rostellum lobe not clearly visible.

Cheirostylis barbata, a new species of Orchidaceae, is described and illustrated from Yunnan Province, China. It is morphological similar to C. griffthii, but it can be easily distinguished from the latter in having densely villous inflorescence, floral bracts 1.2–1.4 cm, significantly longer than ovary, lobes of lip deeply laciniate with 7–9 divisions, each lacinae randomly oriented, 6.0–7.5 mm long, hypochile containing 2 callus, each callus 4-toothed. A preliminary assessment of extinction risk, according to the IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria, is also provided.

Eriobotrya laoshanica, a new species of Rosaceae from Yunnan, China, is described and illustrated. The new species is easily distinguished from the most similar species E. malipoensis K. C. Kuan by its longer petioles (2–5 vs. 0.5–1 cm); indumentum on the lower leaf surfaces (densely tomentose vs. glabrous); much fewer flowers (15- to 30-flowered vs. 50- to 100-flowered) on the panicle; larger flowers (2.5–3 vs. 1.5–2 cm in diameter); and non-angulated (vs. angulated) young fruits.

A new species of Homatula, Homatula wuliangensis, is described from the Lancang River of the Wuliang Mountain, Pu-Er City, Jingdong County, Yunnan Province, China. Homatula wuliangensis sp. nov. is readily distinguished from otherspecies of Homatula by the combination of several morphological characters, including a long upper lobe of the caudalfin relative to the lower lobe, high and long dorsal adipose crest, series of 22–26 very closely aligned body markings, bodyscaled, and 41–42 vertebrae. In addition, H. wuliangensis differs from the similar species H. anguillioides in having short-er barbels, spots on the caudal fin, the origin of the pelvic fin under the last simple dorsal-fin ray, and a pointed axillarypelvic lobe divided from the body. The new species is further distinguished from the similar species H. pysnolepis in having shorter barbels, lacking a notch on the lower jaw, and lacking vermiform markings on top of the head.

Saxifraga shennongii L. Wang, W.B. Liao et J. J. Zhang, a new species of Saxifragaceae from Hunan, China, is described and illustrated. The new species belongs to genus Saxifraga sect. Irregulares and can be distinguished from other species by stolons absent, basal leaf blade subrounded and abaxially spotted, absence of foliar embryos in the sinus, petiole sparsely short glandular pilose or glabrous and inflorescence branches up to 10 cm long. Phylogenetic analysis based on four chloroplast DNA regions (rbcL, psbA-trnH, matK and psaJ-rpl33) confirmed that the new species differed from those similar species of Saxifraga sect. Irregulares. The new species is similar to S. daqiaoensis and S. mengtzeana, but differs in indumentum and the shape of leaf.

Paepalanthus mellosilvae is here described and illustrated as a new species of Eriocaulaceae from the Atlantic Forest domain in Minas Gerais state, Brazil. The new species is known from a single locality in the Mantiqueira Range, growing along trails through cloud forests. According to the IUCN criteria, it is suggested here as critically endangered. Paepalanthus mellosilvae is compared to P. harmsii, a morphologically similar species also growing in the Mantiqueira Range, being mainly distinguished by the presence of a rhizome, narrower leaves, more numerous scapes, narrower capitula, sparsely pilose involucral bracts, and obdeltate floral bracts. Additional comments on the taxonomy, morphology, and distribution of the species, along with illustrations are provided. The specific epithet is a tribute to Prof. Dr. Renato de Mello-Silva.

A species with an annulus is rare within Amanita section Vaginatae. In this study, A. annulata is proposed as a new species based on morphological and molecular evidence. It is the second annulate species of the section in China, the first being A. cingulata. The new species is found in forests dominated by Fagaceae in Yunnan Province of China. It is characterized by its large basidioma, white pileus covered with large, white, dingy yellow-tipped pyramidal warts that break off easily, a stipe with a mealy, evanescent, white annulus, the base of the stipe covered with concolorous pyramidal warts, and broadly ellipsoid to ellipsoid basidiospores measuring 11−15 × 9−12 μm. Moreover, it is compared with similar species, especially the annulate taxa of Amanita section Vaginatae.

A new species of Gesneriaceae, Oreocharis wumengensis Lei Cai & Z.L.Dao from Wumeng Mountain area, Yanjin County, Yunnan Province, China, is described. The new species is morphologically similar to O. panzhouensis Lei Cai, Y.Guo & F.Wen in the shape of corolla, number of stigma and stamens, but it can be easily distinguished from this species by the leaf shape and indumentum characters of leaf blade, calyx and stamens. Detailed descriptions with photographs of the plant and holotype, and comparisons with morphologically similar species, are also provided.

Puya colcaensis is described and illustrated as a new species found in the Province of Caylloma (Arequipa) in southern Peru. This species has a compound inflorescence, bluish-green flowers, with pedicels smaller than 1.5 cm, which are exceeded by the floral bracts, and sepals with dense stellate trichomes. It is similar to P. araneosa and P. adscendens.

Junewangia aquatica sp. nov., a new Acrodictys-like fungus was collected on submerged wood from freshwater habitats in Yunnan Province, China. J. aquatica is characterized by its flared conidiophores with percurrent proliferations, monoblastic, terminal or intercalary, cylindrical conidiogenous cells, and subglobose to broadly ellipsoidal conidia with transverse and oblique septa. A phylogenetic tree of Acrodictys-like species was inferred from multi-locus (SSU, ITS and LSU) sequences. A key to the species of Junewangia is provided.
